Well, even though I had high hopes for a new BIOS that solves the cold boot issue, this is not the one that does so. I tried with my mushkin redline 4000 and my ocz vx 3200, voltage from 5V rail, but still no boot with two sticks. Personally, from waiting so long, I believe that the cold boot issue is non-fixable.

finally my fuc***g adata vitesta 600 works @ 1T with this bios!!!! I was almost loosing any hope! Great job DFI!

does fastest bring any gains over fast from the 510-2 bios? What ram is fastest good for as I know normal is for value ram and fast was suppose to be for high speed dimms, BH etc.

BTW without a changelog im not flashing anything. I want to see what I am to look for in changes and gains.

I know where you are coming from there... was using 510, after flashing to the new 615 now my MX700 mouse, MS wireless usb mouse, or usb Logitech keyboard work. Seems like all my usb functionality just disappeared with the new bios. I shut everything down, reset the cmos, went back in reset my settings, rebooted and nothing still. Going back to 510.

Has anyone tried reinstalling the Forceware drivers :stick: Windows can get confused.

it might be disabled in the bios, turn usb or lan back on if it is disabled.

Well, considering windows uses a standard USB driver and not an Nvidia provided driver for USB devices, I doubt that's the problem. It's not that it wasn't detecting the usb controller, it just wasn't working with the new bios.

I haven't...and I didn't plan on doing it either, unless I can be TOLD that it'll get it workin' for me.

what about the issue with nvidia ethernet that someone reported not working? i hope there's a fix for this. i can't wait to give this new bios a try. reinstalling the unified nforce drivers might help.

Gee, I didn't think of that.... :rolleyes: Please forgive my sarcasm, but I have never had more problems trying to update to different BIOS until I got this board. I'm a little frustrated by it. I flashed back to 510 and all is back to normal again.

My ethernet worked after the update, my usb didn't.

At first my ethernet did re-connect and was fine...but then I restarted...came back into windows...and neither was working. I could try hooking my mouse up through PS/2...but it's the MX1000, almost seems like a crime to do that. :fact:

Don't feel bad, both my MX700 and my MS Wireless USB mouse would not work. I had to hook up a PS2 logitech ball mouse to do anything. And my Logitech USB keyboard didn't work either. Tried moving to other usb ports and it just wasn't even powering up.

This Bios has a USB bug. Confirmed. My uSB keyboard would not be recognized. I alrerady sent a message to Oscar Wu about this.

Good, so I'm not the only one.....

I have a feeling that my keyboard wouldn't have worked, except I have it hooked up via PS/2 because i still run into the odd time where I'll boot up and the USB won't be recognized to get me into the BIOS....so PS/2 it is. However, I'm not making the switch with my MX1000...so hopefully this is something that can be rectified rather quickly.

That's a LITTLE comforting, but it's still frustrating as heck...can't wait for a "working" version of 615 to try out.....kinda need my mouse to do much. ;)

They were trying to fix a ps2 keyboard problem where you had to have a ps2 keyboard in to use a ps2 mouse and in the process killed usb keyboard/mouse. Go figure. .

Just upgraded from 310 to 615 this morning, so far so good, it enabled CnQ to operate with my SD, pretty cool that it works perfect even with an OC'd system. :up:
