It's very very strange: I've an incredible heat issue with my UTT.
I've two sticks of 512Mb Twinmos Speed Premium UTT AA4T/44D.

Well...
...if I run them upon my DFI Lanpary NF2Ultra RevB @22225/T1/240Mhz/3.2v, these sticks are simply COLD. Even with 250Mhz/3.5v (mobo has VDimm mod) the chips are only a little lukewarm.

But...
...if I run them upon my DFI Lanparty NF4Ultra-D @22225/T1/240Mhz/3.2v (3.3v rail, not 5v: JP17@default!), the chips become incredibly HOT. Yes, I can't touch them!

Same psu, same other hardware (except mobo+cpu platforms, obviously)!
I can't believe...WHAT'S WRONG? :stick:

I'm willing to bet if any of u had a grouper board we would see hardly any UTT "deaths". (assuming the grouper board is not just good on paper) I just don't believe the dfi board is doing it's job. I bet your sticks aren't dead either. Great board if you don't mind the cold boot crap and voltage issues. Also, no bios will fix the cold boot issue imo. I'm still running 2-17 :)

maybe they get more heat trough the pcb/circuits on the a64 platform. (memcontroller in cpu has circuits directly to the dimms).

We will find out once more A8N with 3.55 vdimm gets saturated around. As well as grouper board.
