OPB, It needs more cooling like yours...
It's ALL up to you, Kevin... if it works @ -100C, FX57 rules the day benching at 3.8-4.0ghz.Quote:

Real nice.
Is it N or T?
It is a T..Quote:

So far is 3.49G and 1.6-1.65 Volt with Vapo LS...needs more cooling power to reach more Mhz.Quote:

Thought so,even though that side of your pic was to dark.Quote:

Thats gonna have to change soon OPB. Dothan looks to be on par with FX-55. If the FX-57 has no cold-bug, then we will see the sparks fly.Quote:

Big boys came out to battle thats for sure :)
Just stay ;) Im waiting for the results tomorrow and it will do a lot better than this....500 more mhz :toast:Quote:

I'm testing another 0513mpmw... just a little of Ln2... the cold bug is here too... -50°C
http://www.baiata.it/fx55.gskill.jpg
the system is old, fully unoptimized and even fragmented  so the time is quite hight...
I'll format later.... really want to try some 3d bench at 3600+ mhz :slobber:
That 3.6G answer one of my question :) Please explain the -50C part.Quote:

I'm using a pt100 probe placed in the back of the socket to get the temp.
at -60 the system can boot but is really unstable... lower temp no boot at all
at -52 can boot and bench @ 3696mhz... really there is no way to get 3700 mhz at 1,7 volts.
higher voltage seem to be more unstable... the system can't even boot at 1.9volts my bad
Thanks for the info. Seems like 1.7 is the spot for this cpu so far.Quote:

Have you tried raising the multi by 1 and dropping the FSB perchance? If not, would you mind trying (keeping the CPU core at same clocks as before) if you get the chance please :)Quote:

Yes, call it back from short retirement ;)Quote:

dame that cold bug.........is buging every big player NOW............
OPB i hop that your 4600 don't have cold bugs.............
:D Think in future we have to talk about cold bug and frost bug and we have to seperate both.
Usually known cold bug appears at everythin' subzero but the Sandy core runs fine at -50° - -90°C (mostly).
So in my opinion this is no real cold bug. Should be no problem using single phase.
Only LN/DI/cascade users should be warned about the frost bug - but who knows, if it is really caused by the mem controller maybe AMD releases a second edition with a better one or the next FX generation (FX-59) will have no frost bug anymore.
AFAIK the problem is known by AMD but in my opinion it's not that important to them than to us !!!

Right now on water, my 0513MPMW is pushing 3060MHz (255*12 1.56v reads 1.52 in CPU-Z). This is Super PI 32m, S&M, and Memtest stable. So far I am happy with this chip. Maybe after my next project, I'll upgrade to a PC*ICE setup and push it further...
That's why I asked the Q of Melkizedek... if it is the mem controller, I have an  :hehe:Quote:
