The next version will have the "run parallel tests" option greyed-out rather than invisible...a totally useless piece of info but i thought i'd say it anyway! :D

OPB: will there be any screens of the chip's performance on air cooling at all?

How much do you have to slack the timings in order for it to work? So you're saying it would almost be pointless to run PCMArk with low latency ram?

I'd think it would be ok as long as memtest passes. If its even the timings thats causing it to error out.

OPB: Nice results, man! However, I am curious are you raising Vcore only with VID, only %, or a combination of both?

My guess 3.4 @ 1.58v

Where's 1.8v?

Not talking about the main memory timings just the advance ones :)

on my 3000+ 0516 GPAW venice i just plucked in at 9x315HTT with Gskill PC4400LE @285mhz 2.5-3-3-7 the only thing i had to change was Twtr from 1 to 2

so for me i went from

7-14-2-2-1-2

to

7-14-2-2-2-2

but OPB might need to play with those settings as he's on a different cpu and ram clocks are different

it shouldn't matter unless the ram is throwing back errors anyway. :stick:

He's using default vid + 110% @ 1.55. Clockgen's Vid control doesn't work with this cpu.

Just a FYI, here were the timings I ran my FF's @ on PCMARK. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have a problem passing memtest at these timings:

Hmmm Odd... I have the same prob but it is only my DFI board (it cant change VID for either venice, winchester), but you always got the BIOS, no?

Well, really it's a non-issue for me now since my cpu's now in OPB's hands :p: Just trying to get some tips so he doens't have to make the mistakes I did with it..... :toast:
