See if teh mem controllers are like the 'thoroughbred' winnies or
the 'slower' venice / SD chips (would be a good overall comparison anyway).
Also see had each chip gets along w/ the various memories (need more vdimm/vcore/vchip?)
This will take forever; however it would be a killer review/guide :fact:

ok, sorry been working on basement past 24hrs, why I couldn't get to my new toys.
Will be building the pc later today and installing OS etc...
I don't have copy of 64 bit windows and I don't really want to dl and install the beta(if still available) so any benches will be done on standard xp professional sp2.
First off I'll post oc results on the x2 4400. I will use this for 2-3 days, bench etc..., then back that up with the 4600. Same thing. The Venice I can put in a different board, but I only have 2 DFI boards, and I really think to make this a good comparison everything will have to be done within the one setup, which is very time consuming to say the least.
Well lol, except the 754 sempron, I can try to put that in the neighbors bunny cage to see if any of the pins will multiply, but barring any other issues, I will just put that in an available 754 board, which might be a week, to put a system like that together. Sorry guys, I work 4 jobs and the little time I have to do this is STRAINED.
wow 4 jobs. you must be superman :). i'll probably get flame for this, but could you at least give us a hint how you got all these goodies? do you have a hardware site and it's dedicated to amd only? do you work for amd? also are you keeping all the chips or will you sell some :). i know my chances are slim, but it doesn't hurt to ask :).

just got system going a few hours ago, after I swapped board into brand new rig, it decided to corrupt bios and in chasing gremlins cost me better part of the day :(

having issues running 2 instance of super pi 1m at same time
even at low clocks. not sure what to make of that. However, I can run OCCT torture and super Pi 1mb at same time and super pi times don't really decrease :)
Feels like the best of both worlds, I'm sure partially psychological heeh, but everything is SOOOOOOO smooth kinda like P4 but way better :) :) :) :woot:
nice screenie, make sure when you test the 754 it's with a dfi 250 nf3. seriously stable all the time...unless you get the nf4 one...sure go for it :toast:

By the way, just downloaded OCCT, what shall i choose in "monitoring software config" ? I have DFI LP NF4 Ultra with Smartguardian checking my temps.
I can choose between; MBM5, SPEEDFAN, ASUS PC PROBE and none..

To run 2nd superpi, you need to add another superpi folder. The temp file of two superpi can't co-exist in the same folder.Quote:
