musk for the lga775 it has to be done on the CPU, the pins in the socket would be impossible to work with, but as I said in your other thread, for the socket 478 processors a U shaped wire in the right place in the socket will work fine and is completely removable.
Look in this guide for a similar mod this takes the 400 fsb dothans to 533 fsb on a socket 478/9
