If it's doing ~2.8 on stock, it should do 3 GHz with more vcore. However, what is the 100% stable speed @ stock vcore?

Yo men, I'll try to answer to all :D

But first, one thing: in my first post I've clearly said that is the first quick test, and in the weekend more test would been made, so I cant' understand why many of you have to post against this, if I have post in a wrong section of Xs a mod can move to the right when he wants, no problem.

Also post without say nothing like 'bleh' or 'My winny do more, so venice isn't for me' I think are useless for me and other :)

However I send a PVT to a mod for clarify the situation and put this 3d to the right section.

Now go with real answer ;)

You're right, ~3GHz shot for now @ air.

I think the rs frequency is between 2715MHz and 2740MHz at stock vcore and Zalman.

Finally new test from gandalfone, here in Italy the weather is like summer, today ~20° :D

So you have to remeber this when looking the screen ;)

Again @air with zalman:

Vcore 1.4V 2800MHz spi

To take 2850MHz gandalfone has raise the vcore to 1.45V

Here CPU-Z show 1.45, but in bios gandalfone put 1.55V so the real vcore is 1.50V less or more ;)

This is the max coz at air with this ambient temp if he raise the vcore he cant do anything better.

Now a nice SuperPI not really tweaked, he don't use A64Tweaker :D

He run a PI also @ 2913 but he can't save the screen with 28s :(

Well, I for one would like to see Gandalfone find where that .5 mhz went and run it again at 273 x11 to get to 3.0G ;)

:) Interesting how "little" voltage increase helps with A64's (Winchester and Venice at least).

Though it is still a nice result, and bodes well for the 3000+ and 3200+ models!

It looks like your friend got not so great 3500+ :( Unless, he run something more than just Spi 1M at above clocks ;) Tell him to keep trying, run some higher Pi calculation and prime95...

So, you guys think you can get that chip prime-stable for at least couple hours @ 2.8-2.9GHz ? Or better cooling might be needed ?

I think with liquid cooling he could stay 24/7 @ 2850MHz :)

2938MHz @ liquid cooling; this liquid system include 2 wb for the 6800Ultra, so water is really hot :D

damn, i might just be converted over to amd in my next system...ive also read that when dual core is actually worth a crap, amds archetecture is way better than intels...so ill have a better upgrade path.
