ATX 24 pin + 4 pin. That's all I use.
plugged the floppy connector in now... guess i have to redo all my oc'ing to see if it improves hehe
If your OC doesn't get any better after going through all the trouble to plug everything in and wire manage, don't get mad at me! :D
I must have just gotten lucky :woot:
Please Please reply with your results. Countless OCers will be in your debt.Quote:

no sli yet though..:D
I use all 4. Never tried it without all of them pluged in, so don't know if it helped. DFI recommends to use all 4, so I have from the start.
Countless >lazy< OCers you mean :toast:Quote:

using all. Initially booted with 3 minus the floppy but found I had less trouble powering up with the floppy installed as well. I am using the shielded molex from my OCZ in the board too for a little cleaner power.

And all those little bits soldered to the ends on those sheilded cablesQuote:

My friend with X850XT PE noticed an improvement in videocard overclockability when he connected the extra power on my advice :)
The extra power is used for pci-e ;)Quote:

Ok I'm going to plug in the FDD now just in case :D :D The user manual that came with the DFI motherboard is a joke as well....can't completely rely on it and expect to get your rig up and running :lol2:

Common knowledge :woot:
Same here :)Quote:

then I hope he's not wondering where taht extra clockspeed came from :p:Quote:

Apparently it not only reduces noise going to the devices being connected to but also reduces noise on it's way back to the psu. They had graphs showing this. I will try and track down the link and post it here. I have one going to my mobo, one going to video card and the other going to my dvd burner. I also purchased a pair on their own and have one going to my fan controller. Pretty much everything has those cables on it.Quote:

i was switching psus once and had all connectors removed except for the molex and the floppy connector, i accidently hit the power button and the system booted!!!
and the main atx plug wasnt even in! lol! :D
i shut it off inmediatly, all is working fine... :D
well the board plus cpu plus memory plus videocard only consume around 50W during bootup i think, so nothing happened. weird accident anyways :D
but it made me think all those power plugs are not needed... but i havent tested without then tbh, im using all of them, as it cant hurt :D
even using a 20 to 24pin psu adapter :D
