so the 15th = shipping day or buy-me-now day?
vendors should have them by then i think, if not then it would be a paper launch and amd said they wouldnt do that anymore... but then again, maybe they will heh :DQuote:

That is insane and mighty cool of AMD to work on something which a very few amount of people even can achieve....that's why I love AMD, they really try to make the best CPU's for their users.
Wasnt there a big plan for everybody to not buy these processors until a month has gone buy so the supply/demand kicks in and they are cheaper :D
haha
Great news alas... this will be great !!
Does anyone know of retailers that have this chip for pre-order??
Monarch will most likely :woot:Quote:

not there yet :(
Yeah, I couldnt' find it either. I hope its not a paper launch? I read yesterday that the AMD desktop dual core chips will be available in June.
So whats the over/under on how many XS member's heads will explode on the 15th when Newegg's last entry in the processor core menu is still a Winchester? ;)
so do i order a fx55 thats listed as 90nm D0 but seems to have been mispriced at £340ish, instead of the normal £550 they are in the uk. or do i order the 3500+ E4 rev, listed at £215ish, with winnies going for £180 here. Or more likely its a choice between that FX55 or waiting a couple weeks to get one that will probably be about the same price as a winnie, other stores will be cheaper for sure here. just that mispricing, £340 for a fx 55 on new die size , could clock like crazy.
I think release date for europe MIGHT be the 18th as elara in ireland says they will have them in stock by that day.
Now I am a bit unsure if I should switch my order to a 3500/3700 San Diego. I have a 3500 Venice on preorder at the moment. Any suggestions?
lol, I can tell my the size of the scroll bar if Winchester is still the last listing ;)Quote:

Edit - I'll try to post some more up later...at work right now and didn't save any of the links for quick reference

Just change the box number accordingly.
So it looks like it may be the 18th afterall. shopblt.com shows you how many they expect to hit their specific warehouses, all on the 18th.
When the release goes national, you'll see it on the front page prolly with the all the excitement lol.
THough I'll try not to be swayed by initial results like last time with Winnies. If Venice goes 2.7+ on stock air/vcore I'm satisfied :D
