VERY NICE
hehe,very nice job !
I think a smaller and better-designed CPU heatsink could brings u lower temps :)
难得在这里看到咱们中国大陆的兄弟发这么强的贴!赞!!!
nice setup my friend, you've deffinatly influenced me!
Hey thats cool, i'm from Hong Kong, but i study in uk now. Go back to HK once or twice a year.Quote:

level of craftsmanship is awesome!!!!!

i'm gonna buy some hotpipes to mod it to get a lower temp.
By the way: The foamy stuff is isolation.
Can u get a bigger radiator? the pelts create a lot of heat and if u can get more heat away from the blocks the temps wil lower a bit more is my guess (lets say: about 5 degrees?)
That is INSANE! Makes me want to TEC my upgrade. :) :toast:
?.....which would you all go with for a dual xeon.... dual 226 TEC with dual switching unit or a water chiller(ViaAqua)...and why. Stuck between the two....please help
That is the very finest tec setup I've ever seen, for what that's worth. I'd also say that it was very smart to use the tec's on opposite sides of a big chunk of copper instead of stacking them as most people think to do. Is this the record for lowest Pelt temp?
Nope, don't think so. I got -43°C, and I think there still are lot of people having lower temps.
First, let me say along with the rest here that you have done some superb work.
I believe that you have a lot of room for improved performance with the water cooling system. The first step would be to get rid of the "T" fittings and simply run the tubing in series from one block to the other block. This is an inexpensive change that should immediately improve your cooling.
The reason is that the "T" fittings split your flow rates almost in half, and flow rate is very important to water cooling.
The second change that can be made is using a "Y" or "T" connector to split the lines after the blocks and using two radiators, this will slow the flow rate as it passes through seperate radiators again improving cooling.
With these changes your system should be able to handle the heat better and keep the peltiers cooled properly.
first, very nice setup =]
@piper: K R noob to TEC and WC, but that doesn't make any sense - if you put the WC in series, the 2nd plate would be receiving the warm coolant from the 1st plate, shirley?
*edit* and the foam is INSULATION (put on some clothes) =]
Very nice craftmanship sjx-qd, little confused by your first post how many watts is each TEC?
Awesome work, it looks amazing!
Better keep that rabbit away from all the cats around here lol :p:

That is very smart.
Similar to a block a saw ages aggo, but yours is allot neater.
Good results as well.
All this talk of pelts has got me itching to make a new block and put the pelt back on my CPU.. I must resist temptation.
@ Piper:
improving the cooling: I would say using a radiator after eacht block, and putting everything in serie would be better. There is not much better than that I think.
Well, his flow rate through those blocks is already halfed and that really hurts, the water doesn't heat up in a water cooling system like you think it does.
It doesn't go into a block and come out a lot hotter, but it moves through picking up a little heat as it goes.
Each time it goes through a block, it is a little warmer, and that does reduce the cooling a little on the next component.
But more important is preventing the heat from building, and slowing the flow rates through the blocks reduce their effectiveness greatly, where as running in series is a slight increase at which point, you can split the lines, slow the flow rate, and cool very well in seperate radiators.
Just make sure the rads are good ones with low head loss.
Whittekakker and I are thinking allmost alike on this.
Thats some professional looking acrylic work on the mounts man, looks like it paid off too!!
First time I've ever seen a dual pelt system really work well (tried one a loong time ago with a Danger Den Maze 2-2 pelt. block with 2 x 172w pelts, I could get ice with no load but with load the temps were horrible, anyways the cat pee'd on it and that was that...).
I think I used the same exact Meanwell PSU too, is it the 500-24?
Keep posting stuff man, I do phase change now but quality work like this is always worth looking at (and praise!!).
:ROTF: Seriously? Cats are so evil sometimes lol.Quote:

U should use this on P4 mobile :eleph:
