last time i got the geil ultra X TCCD only worked to 280 2,5-4-4-8 not 24/7 stable... i would ve been glad if i recieved the good old stuff 2x512 Bh-5 @ 250+ 2-2-2-x

But you need lots of volts for the bh5, and a ddr booster or vdimm mod if you dont have a dfi motherboard.

You cannot RMA because you got a few sticks of bad oc'ers...

Now, if they went around touting TCCD, and EVERYONES was a bum oc'er, then I'd say have at it...

Most of the reviews, the manf.'s dont *tell them* to overclock it, and overclocks aren't guaranteed. If you want XXX speed for sure, buy XXX speed ram. if you cant afford it, take the chances overclocking.. :P

right. im about to go to the shop and get my ddr booster so I can go to 250fsb and beyond!

That's just unfortunate. So now users will have to use high voltages when they think the Ultra-X will run at low voltages. Ohh welll... that's good for us... but for the average consumer, that sucks.

Have you tried at 230 MHz with 2.85V on 2-2-3-6?, BH-5 works fine with that.
(i think with 240 MHz works too).

tCL= 3 dont work, right?

yes cl3 dont work on mine. it boots on 230mhz 2-3-3-6 (2.85v) but gives super pi errors.

im on a 3200 winnie, I set the vcore to max (1.45), msi k8n neo 2 platinum, enermax 420 noisetaker.

Also question, I get errors after I exit the game star wars republic commando, IRQL not or less equal. This is on stock settings 2-2-2-5 1T, 2.7vdimm.
Does this mean my mems have problems?

One weird problem now, I am running stock, not overclocked settings 2-5-2-2 1T 200fsb 2.7vdimm. ( this also occurs on AUTO, 2.55, 2.6 volts, also I cannot seem to boot at 2.5 volts. )
When I exit the starwars game after playing for about 1hour or more.(starwars republic commando).
I get irql not or less equal blue screen. then a reboot.

Is this memory related?

because even if i got bh5/utt, it should do at least 240, right?

now, im using dfi nforce 4 ultra d, and I can even run my mems at 260, 3.6volts!!

It may or may not have TCCD, but right now its for sale at newegg for $162, after $40 rebate. That's a pretty good price for a gig of either TCCD or new BH-5, I think.

Let's clear this conversation.PN-1243 is UTT-BH5 ,PN-0746 is TCCD
My system performs faster with BH5 based Ultra X than TCCD Ultra X

mine can do 216 at 2.6v 2-2-2-5

and 240 2.6 2.5-3-3-7

I havent tried more but I think its safe to say that they are with TCCD chips.
