I am curious about what is the point of this collection. Is it able to add certain options in most bios and work, or does it serve another purpose?
I would also like to ask and inquire if it can modify laptops bios.
The RAR doesn't work on your site. Also I want to mod the AS8, I've never really done this before but I ran modbin 6 (found that on the net myself) and it made 4 different files and the program exited?
Hi.
The BIOS Tool Collection is currently being updated to BNOBTC version 6. : D
There will be many new utils and interesting documents in the BNOBTC v6!!! :D
What's new ?
Just wait and see! :D
OK, check your PM.
Hey Borg, I can't seem to get AMIBCP working with an ASUS P5AD2-E Premium BIOS. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've tried the latest BIOS from their site and I've even dumped my own.
Thanks
*EDIT*
Nevermind, I got it working with MMTool :toast:
one weird question - how it is possible to extract/edit/and so on ncpucode.bin ?
i'm unable to extract it with cbrom32..
Hi.
You have to use a Hex Editor if you want to extract, edit and reinsert the
ncpucode.bin module.
look for ncpucode in the bios file.
The amount of selected bytes (the size) is/was already displayed by CBROM.
thanks, that's what i was afraid of..Quote:

it seems it has to be done completely in hex-editor, as ctmc discarded the file i extracted..
or then again - i don't know exactly what to extract :p
Borg, any updates on v6 ?
Hi Borg, what modbin is this? This would not happen to be the "modbin-lovelust" bios, would it :) ...which has TOTALLY DISAPPEARED FROM THE INTERNET! I remember that being the only modbin utility that was able to unlock any features with the Albatron KX18D Pro bios. It is strange to see that there have not been any new Award bios editors in years...Quote:

Woot! Thanks Borg. You just made some Jetway Radeon Xpress owners real happy! :D No more 4x LDT floor! :rocker:
Hello Borg
I was wondering if I can apply this applications to mod a Shuttle FN25 (SN25P) motherboard... this is with a Phoenix-Award 4Mbit BIOS to unlock more memory settings and such on it.
Do you think its possible?
Thanks a lot! And great work of yours!!!
Hi.
The current latest BIOS file for the Shuttle FN25 (SN25P):
ftp://ftp.shuttle.com/BIOS/sn25p/fn25s01o.bin
can be opened and modified with
MODBIN6 2.01.01 (06/25) without any problems.

BTW, is that version of MODBIN6 within your Collecton tools? If its not can you please send it to me by email? Thank you!
Hi.
The latest and "new" MODBIN release is not in the BNOBTC v5.
If you would like to have it, just send me your eMail adress (via eMail* / via PM)
*=I think, it should not be difficult to figure out my eMail adress. :)
Borg, btw MODBIN6 2.01.01 (6/25) couldnt open Asus A8V-E BIOS...
I'm getting that "stack overflow" thing...
Hi.
You are right.
There is a "Stack overflow" message while opening the BIOS file.
It seems to be there is a still newer release of MODBIN release necessary.
Even newer than MODBIN6 2.01.01 (6/25).
Because of Asus's eMail - support is not really good,
we need a BIOS file from another firm.
A "non-Asus"-BIOS file is necessary,
which has the same symptoms while open it in/with MODBIN6 2.01.01 (6/25).
If you can find such a BIOS file, then please let me know it.
OK, I'll look around but I'd really like to open A8V-E...

Hi Leni.
I do not understand anything.
It looks like you used an online translator.
Explain your problem and what you did in German.
Borg, same happens with Gigabyte K8NS-939 Ultra F7 BIOS, stack overflow message.Quote:
