Abit needs to iron out there bios on the BE7 Raid more before I consider ANY of their boards worth anything. I've had mine for almost a month and the bios is still only half functional.
They have a new one out? Yippedy do. Fix the one's they've already sold first.
I received the mail from the shop and the board are coming out next Thursday in France :banana:
I heard that ABIT is working on the first revision of the board so they might not release the first batch to the US market.
To set the record straight, turns out the FSB adjustment IS available. Either the latest bios gave me access to it or else I just found it. Either way, I am pleased.

Don't be too disappointed yet...that's a rebadged pre-production board....thing's may likely change with full production boards.

Cmon, don't say that VIO is not beneficial. If you are WILLING to lay the wood to it, it can help! I don't know how high you can go with this board but I can tell you from my Abit KR7A-R days. The reason for no holes is that AMD removed it from their specifications, some adhered and others have not. As I stated earlier that board is a rebadged pre-production model, it may not reflect what will end up in retail in it's features:)Quote:

I believe my comment on that was concerning the KX7, where more than 3.65v VIO did NOT make any difference in the boards overclocking ability in my testing. That is not true for EVERY board. I am personally dismayed at the voltages of the NF7-S review board at this point, but as I stated, things can change before retail roll-out.:)Quote:

I agree the Abit will be an excellent board with their overclocking prowess, however the Epox 8RDA also seems to offer multiplier unlocking on their nForce 2 board, it's at Newegg for $118. I'm irate, because I didn't think any boards except the 8K9A series could unlock mutiplier settings of revision B TBreds in the BIOS! So I sent off a Money Order for the 8K9A when I could have had the fastest AMD platform available for $40 more! I would gladly pay that amount for 5.4GB/s to 6.4GB/s (Dual DDR400) memory bandwidth. The DASP (Dynamic Adaptive Speculative Preprocessor) in the northbridge, and patented "Streamthru" which increases Networking/Broadband speeds 15% in the MCP-T southbridge. The MCP-T also contains an APU (Audio Processing Unit) offrering full 3D-positional audio and of course Direct-X 8.0. Here's a link to the 8RDA:

Well i was in a hurry, so i didnt re-phase that well enough. But Why would you need to run it hotter for? i don't know that much about the chipset in boards, but more voltage=more heat. So Enless its been proven (which it hasn't) i dont think its a Big deal.Quote:

Don't get sucked into that theoretical hype bullsh*t. You are showing your novice license in computers and hardware.....Never, never believe in what the manufacturer or the chipset maker says. It is hype to the tenth degree to make you think you are getting the best performance for the $. Most of us have been burned with that hype!!Quote:
