Sweet mother of overclocking. I just did the conversion to Canadian dollars from that US store at the top, and I'd say those are VEEEERRRRRYYYY cheap. A gig of good RAM for less than $200 CAD? YES!

ok to answer the question is there another value product using these chips , yes
some of the normal value could have them , however thats where the fails go , many of those fail the low voltage spec for VX 3200 and will still pass the high voltage spec
but I still dont think its a very good deal
when will newegg get these in stock?
Pics? Anyone got pictures? I want to know if these have heatspreaders. I hope not!
:D:D:D
hmm.. looks like a good deal. I've been wanting to upgrade to 1GB for a while
It this the "BH" die which does DDR400 2-2-2-5 @ LOW VOLTAGE ?
OCZ strikes again !!
Can you tell me if there is a UK retailer of this stuff ... i wanna buy some NOW :P
A canadian etailer would be very nice. We have been hosed on the Twinmoss and the G.skill up here. Would be nice to get some OCZ.

Thanks for this news. I was planning on buying some TwinMos in the next couple of weeks but with all the word I was hearing of non-Winbond chips I figured I just missed out. Thanks alot :D
about winbonds manufacturing, the new bh5 they produce is shifted from 175nm (old bh5) to 160nm i think, alex from twinmos mentioned this in some thread.
160nm is pretty large considering that other manufacturers are around 100nm... hmmm
kinda funny to see a 160nm chip perform that amazingly and compete easily with a 100nm chip :)
Whatever it was that those engineers for winbond were doing just seems to be so much better than all the competetors. It's amazing the original BH5s are still relevant after ..what.. about 2 years!! And the UTTs from what I understand are just the ch5s just finally being done right? Some credits gotta go to their "ovens" though too as (once again hearsay) it seems only the chip with the actual winbond marking on them run this well...others using the same spec/procedures aren't nearly as effective.
1GB for 143$, that`s less than 110€ :slobber:
pc3200 VX are around 235€ here :stick:
I need to see how those Values perform, man if they would make it up to 240 avg. that would kick ass
If anyone gets some of these let us know how well they scale..like ashe said, if these can scale to 240s commonly, with OCZs warranty, then there's no need to roll the dice on twinmos. I'm about 7 -10 days from buying a gig of some kind of ram and this looks like my best bet.
i hear that, bet it will be ncix or ram store though firstQuote:

Ill post back once i get them. Hopefully they will be here soon. Too bad it isnt Newegg :(
Ryan what PCB are these using? I seem to recall that the VX is using the BP808 PCB, are these using the same one, or is it a JDEC modified one?
i guess Ill be getting some of this instead of twinmos. they do about 240 tops though, thats kinda crappy but for 150 who am i to complain
Any news of any UK suppliers?
If they have shrunk the die its not the B die anymore, lets just say the new chips perform like B die.
Ref
no m8, Ryan explains what it is.

Let us know where they go, I may be able to pick up a set next week. Are these available only as 1GB kits or can we buy individual 512 sticks? I'm curious about the PCB also but I highly doubt it will use BP, more likely JEDEC spec for costs.
Gotta agree with Bigtoe, different size means different die = new winbond chips. These UTTs(supposedly) are ch5s and we all know how well the DID NOT run at first. Hopely the new BH5esque dies don't have the growing pains. I'm really interested in all of this. It's past time for me to upgrade my RAM, but BH5s been so good for so long. I'm just happy winbond(or Infineon with there machines) is back. They'll keep DDRI alive for a little while longer IMO
MAGNI
Where do you get your info for 240 tops? Any links and what settings? nF2 or 3 or 4 or what. I'm still back in the dark ages of nFII  so 1G at 240 11-2-2-2.0 would be gravy for me.
these are on the 808 PCB I beleive
Thats funny i have one of those emails.... :banana4:Quote:

he is one of the only fully 100% authorized OCZ dealers around and was the same place I purchased my 3200VX last December when they first arrived. No where else could I find the chips but there. The guy who runs the shop is Ian and he is extremely kind and helpful. He has no credit card surcharges and often offers free shipping on his dimms. He also sells OCZ psu's among other things. Just a heads up.
nebuchanezzar trust me I know your pain. My VX is doing VERY poor right now. If it wasn't for hopes of it acting better on a better chipset I would have sold them. I have a DFI NF4 Ultra-D coming to me next week with a CBBHD 3200+ winnie. I hope my ram can do 260+ as right now they are worse than my BH-6.
