I quote the unbuffered and Everest Writes as this is where you see how games and 3dbenches will do. The Buffered on sandra is very CPUfsb dependant and thru experience can be misleading. I actually prefer Everest over sandra now, its a MUCH better bench and does react much beter to latency changes etc.

I have an Epox 9NDA3+ NF3 that gets upthere with this beta board on bandwidth, im just quoting what i had seen with the NF4 and this beta board which showed a huge difference.

I have a feeling it will be exciting times once we see retail versions of this board.

Actually I think they are equal you can see below, almost the same Everest Read, but ATI is only better in Everest Write, and latency it's the same

I don't think thats the MSI there version is more generic, with no overclocking features. I will wait and see since I am building my system one part at a time , also the new stepping in the a64 seems worth the wait, as long as my 900 mhz duron can hold out( come on baby!! You can do it )

bigtoe, when does NDA end? I'd like to know tha nature of this board. It seriously seems like the chipset/motherboard market is getting BIG. So many good boards getting pumped out (though some better than others). Epox NF4, MSI NEo4, DFI NF4, (most likely) ATI Bullhead.

Wow, that's absolutely crazy. Each new upcoming board seems to be way better than the previous one.

Also, it seems the fact that the DFI's uber nF4 boards won't be available in my country until the end of February, from one side, is not completely negative because in this time, some big news might pop up :D

Its PCIE...it has no USB issues as far as i know and its beta. More than that i can't say.

I can say its DAMN fast and its still not fully tweaked out ;)

I just wanted to show you all there is more to NF3/4 and its going to be fun ;)

I'm gonna go ahead and make the call that it is a DFI mobo running an upcoming ATi chipset. Just my humble opinion. :)

Whatever this mystery board is, however, I must say this is a very good thing. I was planning on building a new s939 system in Feb., however that pesky thing called "life" has seen fit to leave me strapped for cash over the next few months. I'm still disappointed that I have to wait until June or so, but seeing new products like this and the DFI nF4 mobos rolling out makes the wait easier b/c I know I will be able to get the best product possible when the time comes.

Looking at the screen shots you were able to obtain a ~250MHZ FSB can you get this board any higher?

If you've run BH5/Vx on this board then does it imply the booster works with it - or even more of bonus than it has stonking voltage options? Latter perhaps suggesting the mfr. :p

to outperform it? i personally don't like that nvidia locked in a proprietary sli format that requires nvidia cards. a little competition wouldn't hurt the nf4 and it'd be even better if a company like dfi was committed to this chipset.

Capitalism. Some people like to have choices. :cool: I wouldn't want to have to spend (theoretically) $300 on a DFI SLI board, if I was building a budget system and it was the only board out.

Anyway, AFAIK, DFI isn't building an ATI-based system so it's not DFI. God they're not the only manufacturer out there you know.

It's probably one of these makers. My guess is either ASUS or GigaByte:
