You do not get 4000+ winchesters, the 90 nano process cant deliver stable chips above 2.2ghz at the moment. Thats my they are revising the process.
Hmm, I've found some weird paradoxons... Seems like there are two versions of the 4000+, the Clawhammer with the partno. ADA4000ASBOX and the "Winchester", partno. ADA4000BIBOX. The first one has a vcore of 1.55V and the second one a core voltage of 1.45V.
Dunno what to believe.
Yes it seems 0.09µ 4000+'s excist, or at least they will shortly.
Apparently:
ADA4000ASBOX - Retail .13µ 4000+
ADA4000BIBOX - Retail .09µ 4000+
It's possible they are on the new strained silicon .09µ process AMD announced. They did say in the press release that chips based on it would show up in Q1 2005. Even though it's only 2 days into it, it is Q1 2005... :p:
Wow, i'l eat my words! Perhaps AMD have had this waiting for a while and decided to shock people by letting it out a few days into the estimated quarter....good on them.
4000+ 90 nano, will it be a 2.4 or 2.6ghz stock speed?
2.4 as far as I could see. Everything's the same except the default vcore and the production process :DQuote:

How much are they retailing for again?
Edit: 1MB cache  cant see a price on the site.
very very strange thing , but since the 4000+ launching there is a lot of mistake about it.Quote:

it's possible because opteron 0,09 are ready.
But winchester are 512K L2 0,09 , and if this 4000+ 0,09 exists , it's a san diego core.
i'll call AMD france today to know much more about it.
Omg a San Diego core with SSOI..if that's true then this will be like the new dawn of overclocking....!  :toast: :toast:
Btw is it possible that it still is 512kb but has increased CPC over the current revision? either way is sweet. :toast:
edit: they seem to be in stock now, which lucky german Xtreme member will be the first? :D
Hehe... it's tempting, but I only wanna go with a DFI s939 nf4 board... so I have to wait again ;)Quote:

Yeah, strange thing indeed. Maybe we are first because of our status in AMD production ;) :p: But the specs for 4000+ Winchester should be what you said: 512k cache and 2.6Ghz, cause it's Winnie core.
Hi guys, just today I decided to buy a 3200 winnie, its a 0445VPMW,new.the 4000 Winnie is very hard to get,and i dont want Clawhammer. In the moment, the 3200 runs prime at 1,5Volts and 2650 MHz.I hope it can go to 2800 or 2850 and then run benches
I think the newest Winnie Steppings are great. Now I run Aquamark at 2700 MHz,1,5Volts.Its amazing!
I bought mine from Atelco, seem like they never run out of stock.
How much can you perform in Aquamark with the FX-55?How much MHz does it make?
Aquamark3 100K :D http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_vie...run=1426005199 winchester at 2.6Ghz? :slobber: can't wait to touch it ;)Quote:

edit: they will probably be 2.4GHz if they are San Diego core, extra cpc of winchesters+1mb l2 cache is probably enough for AMD to label it 4000+ without going 2.6GHz.
3 ghz on air? I don't think so, unless we're talking about max SS's here. I still think the WC is a better buy, but that's almost getting your hopes a bit too high :PQuote:

With vmod, yes...Quote:
