NEW BETA BIOS 1003.005
Nice! PCI lock is actually a seperate setting now! select either auto, track cpu or 33.33.
Now all I need is to be able to get vcore above 1.5 on a winnie!

Asus has excellent tech support.
Strange thing going on with the vcore setting! Set to 1.650 I get 1.42! Set to 1.6350 and get 1.5! Set to 1.6000 and I get 1.568-1.582! Sorry If this has already been posted! It's good to know Asus are listening!

May be they rushed this before New Year.
I installed the BIOS but I restored it to 004 because I couldn't after 5x reboot no longer come in to windows with OCed settings
What do you mean?Quote:

did you try to set de FSB on 201 MHZ or higher and looked then in nTune ??
I read a thread in the overclockers.com forum and someone reported that Asus is using the A02 revision boards. Maybe that would explain why some ppl are having the problems that are reported. I heard A03's are the ones that will not have the issues that the A02 is having. Maybe someone can clarify this.
I Have a A3 version with no problem (exept some bios bugs)
Yes, and also tried setting pci-x to 101mhz. nTune reports pci-x fixed to 2500 or 2550mhz but touching the slider freezes the system everytime. I'm getting 3dmark and vid card driver crashes from fsb 230mhz, but superPi and prime run stable.Quote:

You shout leave the PCI-e alone but what says nTune when you set de fsb to 201 or higher.
If you set de FSB to like 210 and the PCI goes UP then your PCI lock doesn't work and I advise RMA

It's printed under the blue pci-x slot, next to the mobo sticker.
So if it's 1.02, it's an A02 revision? I thought the revision # is written on the chipset, which is covered by the heatsink?
My board revision is 1.02. My nforce chipset revision is A3. Those are seperate things. So wich one were you talking about? (Are there even nforce4 A2's?)
Same here, my bro's board is version 1.02 with chipset revision A3.
Well, I'm stuck. nTune and Clockgen both report locked pci and pci-e clocks, I can set them without prob in windows now, also htt can be set by nTune (not bios tho). My cpu and ram are tested on another board, both are 100% ok and still far from their limits. Still this damn thing keeps crashing down around 234 fsb.
Going to sell it as soon as I find another nf4 board.
Hi,
Well just flashed to 1005 and this bios seems to be thes best one yet.
Know you dont need to use 201fsb to lock youre pci to 33. The option to lock pci is right in the bios so thats good news for that.
The htt also works well in the bios once you save and exit!!
Mcklain
Mine does not like TCCD.
Tested 4 sticks now(all good for 270+)
Cant get ovet 240 on the A8N.
Hurry up MSI.
My FX has also been tested in a NEO2 and does 15x200 at 1.6v and it's a no go on the A8N.
Too quirky for me and will have to go!
1003-005 is a disaster for me when I try to boot into windows is cost me 10 min  so I flashed back to 1003-004
