Yeah I know - I'm one of them :) Glorfy is my alter ego :) I'd change my name here if I could. It seems that there is more than one A8N SLI board out there, or maybe there is some set up issue that we're missing?Quote:

It seems that If I boot at stock settings into windows and try to increment the htt in clockgen my pci bus doesnt lock.
If, on the other hand, make a small overclock in the bios, lets say 12x208, then it seems that It locks my pci bus in clockgen.
This is all pretty weird.

I think it is staging the pci bus in various increments somehow from what I have read.
YOU sir are a genius! :toast: :D :hug :kissQuote:

Hi,
Glad I can be of help here!!!
Now lets all overclock these boards
Mcklain
DAMN! I was a bit premature! Although it says that its locked, I'm getting programs crashing, mozilla exiting bsods etc at 10X240. I'm sure all my components are good for more than that! I'll do some more testing! But thanks anyway!Quote:

I use Ntune to modify the HTT in windows to 3 or 4 x.
Try that if you havnt already.

HI,
Well I just tried the beta bios 1003-0003 and it partially corrected the LTD problem.
I really dont understand the crappy Asus bios. Now with this beta, the HTT works, but when I try to boot at lets say 12x208 I save and exit bios and on the post it says that my ram clock is 202?? Whats up with that. When I arrive into windows, everything is ok and my cpu is at 12x208.
I am really fed-up with this boards bios.
I think I wont try any more overcloking until Asus makes available a completly working bios.
Mcklain
Hehehehehehe!! See the beta bios thread! I can now get to 290!!! Set in the bios!!! Something totally changed after I followed your earlier recommendation Mcklain! Woot!
Doesn't clockgen works only for a precise model either MSI xx or ASUS xx?
Im thinking maybe, because I am having huge problems with freezing on my chaintech...Quote:
