111fps may not be that great(winxp handicap?) but omg look at that car low!!!!!! oh dear look!!!!!!!!!! 445fps there, just over 4x the car high! I have never seen any car lows be 4x what a car high is! Most people are getting a little over 3x their car high in car low with few getting 3.5x their car high! I get only 2.5x my car low which sucks :( must be the 512k cache limitation, gpu clocks and bad run :( dothans 2mb cache does real good in car low and drag low. Its lack of ondie controller may be why im beating it in car and lobby high. wow if Intel takes dothan seriously, makes one with dual channel, ondie controller, over 200fsb dual channel, 64 bit and price competitive, itll be the first time I go Intel in many, many years. Dothan is their answer man, but Intel needs to wake up and get off the p4 horse and onto the dothan horse!

The CPU doesn't get warm. At all. No issues with cooling, whatsoever. That's really weird. This CPU is a freak.

FYI: stock FX53 (12x200) does 34 sec in SPI on win2k. Not sure what 10x240 or 11x218 does

OK, progress update....
I have installed Swiftech MCX 159 cooler and upped the Vcore to 1.59v. I've installed the OCZ DDR Booster and it works fine north of 3.3v.....

Here's where I'm at....
Sorry I can't get it connected to the internet, it's really a PITA to run a bench, grab a screenie and burn a disc. :(
But for now, it seems my mobo with stock Vagp and default NB cooler will only do 160fsb. I tried the lower multi's to no avail....
So.... it runs like a champ at 2710mHz....with tccd running at 265mHz (2.5-3-3-7) and scores 30s in sPi1M....
And I can tell it's soooooooooooo close to flipping over to 29s
I'll play with it later.
I installed the xt-PE on the board and installed my 4.10's....
Will run some 2700mHz '01 later.... but my GPU will only do 600/610 on AIR (Silencer4)

The best my Newcastle will do using Ricky Tweak at 2360 is 27K........

edit: Anyone have ANY idea how to get the LAN working?
Every single mobo I've EVER owned just detected the LAN cable after installing the LAN drivers.... this one won't. It's Realtek-Gigabit.......

You are sooooooo right. I can tell you, this thing with a Swiftech MCW50-t waterblock/TEC will plug into your PSU... will break 3gHz....

So strange, you can see in the status window that it is "sending" info, but not receiving. And when y9o try to open browser, just says no internet connection detected.

people generally say the Aopen board is better then DFI's, and thats the one to get.
if I was you, I'd just sell the DFI and look into the Aopen.

Some have said that.... but so far it's hard to imagine how the Aopen "could" do any better....

Dothan is no match for A64 and integrated dualchannel memcontroller as far as 3d2k1 goes. There is no doubt about that. It can only match/beat A64 in car low/lobby low at the moment. Single channel mem and old chipset are holding it back a bit.
But 3d2k1 ain't the only 3D bench out there now is it? :D
Its very interesting to see that a chip that produces around 20W of heat and can be had for less than 200€ can (once OCed a bit) basically match even FX55 in quite a few tests (for instance stock FX55 w/ X800XTPE reaches around 98FPS in that Doom3 test).
