very nice indeed and on my fav board too DFI NF3 250Gb :)
just to be sure i got it right, you meant, OCZ isn't voiding the warranty even with high voltage so long as it's within the so called EVP, right? ;)...Quote:

remember OCZ states EVP max vdimm with -/+ 5% that can be nice i.e.Quote:

3.5v max = 3.675v max
alot of room to move while still under OCZ warranty :)
tnx eva, i know about it, i just want to ensure i got it right =)...
I used to gawk at all the folks getting 240-250+ with BH5, just about a year ago (when getting an AthlonXP was still "cool"). Sadly, most like me never got around to seeing their true potential. Even after dead nf2 due to too high vmod, still couldn't good clocks.
This 320Mhz... well.... FRICKEN AMAZING.
Just hope too many people's high hopes dont pop, cause I suspect that DIMM is 16, 1/1000 2.5CAS 320Mhz clocking chips and a fine ass PCB all in one... you are really REALLY lucky.
(PS: People ooohing over DDR2 will probably think again)

Does >2.9v void warranty, or not?
I didn't need to coax it to 3V, i just brutal shoved it up it's bum and it took it greedy. :DQuote:

Well you do realize that OCZ has secret cameras in every stick of ram that records the voltage when it goes above the rated one and then sends the pictures out to Ryan personally as well as a copy to the FBI. :rolleyes:Quote:

How bad the other stick doesn't go as fast as this one, that would rock on S939 mobo :banana4:
But, nice result, it's doing good to me to see that a DFI and a Newcastle aren't as bad as I thougt :)
Excuse me but, did I ask you anything?Quote:

It might not be a crime to RMA components when is your own fault, but its certanly not the most honest thing to do. I dont take any special pride in beeing honest, nor do I think im any any better than every one else. Though, it sounds like your proud of beeing dishonest. Now THATS cool... i asure you.
BTW: Nice sarcasm. I have heard better from 14yr olds.
Sorry if this is confusiong at all but
We support overclocking and though the warranty is the warranty , we tend to be very understanding about voltage overages , if people are straight foward with us , Also EVP varys per product :-)
Hope that explains :-D
Like most of you, I have had many computers (the sig is out of date...). And, sometimes, I had to get warranty support to replace defective part. Personally, I despise people who RMA because of damaging it, or not being satified with mod or overclocking. I know EVERYONE wants to get their money's worth, but after tracking the recent X800's shortage on forums, I realized how bad it is.
Say you buy a X800Pro (ofcourse expecting for 100% to get X800XT-PE, and only pay fraction of cost). You dont get it. You mod it. Doesnt work. So, you return it to store. Next guy comes in to store to get same card.. guess what.. chances are you just passed the hot potato. So, being a man of high expectations, he promptly returns it too... Maybe along the line somebody breaks it modding it, and ofcourse returns it too... so now when you open the box you either get broken card, or there is 1 less card available... while Mr.RMA, still not satisfied, tries to break card #2.
no ofcourse meanwhile, ATI & store arent making money.. they are losing it... no company in the world would condone free use of their product for "binning", or somekind of lifetime supply of cards to fuel your overclocking temptation.
Likewise for memory ofcourse (yeah getting on topic). I hope most people buying PC3200 would be 100% satisfied if they got 250Mhz (+25%). 'Cause I think sites and forums(like this) build up too high expectations... People start thinking A64@3.5Ghz is "typical"...
Most store policys if something is returned damage it goes back to the main warehouse to return to the manufacturer. It really doesnt happen the way you describe it, so the 2nd guy isnt stuck with anything. As far as the ram I agree thats why I always get the higher speed so its garrentied like OCZ PC4200 Plat or gskill pc4400. If I do buy pc3200 and expect high overclocks and Im not happy with it usually I'll sell it to someone, knowing what there getting. Please dont bash this site, most people that are regulars here know what there getting into its mostly the noobie OC'ers who are not satisfied, then damage goods and return them.Quote:

Haven't had problems like this with OCZ yet... you have good policies.Quote:

Its so blatent, that one time that I bought a damaged hard drive, I got replacement from store next day, and it was the same drive (same problem, same serials, same little scratch on the plastic power connector where I scratched it agains the drive cage).
