You can actually overclock a laptop. Wont you get any heat issues.
Thanks
Hmm I'm moving to finland :)
Great job !
Maybe the thermalheat is not good.
Is possible use this clockgen or any modification to other notebooks?
Really ??? But even if you're joking macci, the race of the fastest dothan is already a competitive one, and Kyosen is not gonna be intimidated by The Stilt joining the race :p: :Quote:

Just set up a rig w/ 1.5GHz Dothan - running at 2435MHz at the moment w/ the tiny default cooler and default volts.
Check out the dothan OC thread for more details :D
omg, this is insane! What cooling was used on that 3.3GHz dothan?

Depends on the chip. The Dothan puts out so little heat to begin with that when you overclock the heat doesn't go up a drastic amount. Plus if you build the laptop your self...then you've got full power for custimizing the heatsink.Quote:

The best thing is, is if it had a 500 videocard, it would outperform the 7000$ laptops that have 2 minutes of battery life :)

may i have the clockgen and the chipset modtool and anything else you think might be useful, please? :D
