the nf7 was definitely the best socket a board until the dfi-lanparty came out. remember, the dfi came out with their version months after the nf7 was out. they had time to rework things.Quote:

All those lame fans around.. seems so noobish. I want a good solid board without flashy names and flashy fans that do nothing but increase the noise and run the air around.
but it does seem to make sence. I mean, its a good design concept I think. Get air moving over the Mosfets to help cool them. Noise doesn't bother me...My computer isn't quiet at all lol

A good design concept is large, effective, PASSIVE heatsink over anything that is hot. A good case will take care of moving the air over them if the user wants it.
Also, cooling the caps is stupid. If you care about them being hot - why not put a higher capacity, higher voltage ones there? It will probably cost about the same as those crapolla fans and might also deliver more stable voltages without making any noise :stick:
Their design solutions are more for show-off :banana4:
I actually like it and i do take interest, but i have 2 problems
1) Intel is not the gaming/benchmarking king ~ that is what i do
2) i dont wanna flash a BIOS to unlock special options... even bugging them for a pass word is annoying, i want it out of the box
....pressies run hot too so WC or better aircooling would be a must
though i may still buy it for giggles
hmm i think their even usein smaller mosfets and useing the fan to keep them cool to save money!
yeah, playful_buffalo I know what you mean...at least Abit is going to make a Fatilty board for AMD. That should be interesting to see. This board for Intel is pretty nice so I guess we can hope the same for the AMD board
