There are two stores in UK which you can pre-order the DFI, www.overclockers.co.uk and www.cpucity.co.uk but i don't know if cpucity ships in Australia. Worth to have a look as they costs as much as the Abit! (~75£)

i have a lot of family in britiain so it may be possible, but first im gonna email dfi to see why there so expensive here

could just forget DFI....ASUS ain't bad....neither is MSI...altho I would like a DFI board....lol o'well....ASUS could be a very viable alternitive.

those two boards are reciveving pretty good reviews....one's VIA and one's Nivdia....both are nice....main different to me is the higher price tag on the Nivdia.

you can do the vdimm mod the same way it is done on the gigabyte k8n boards. vtt still needs to be modded though. i posted a pic of it in the vtt mod thread.

Are you sure your Vtt mod works? By using all 3 legs of the VR? :confused:

i had them all blu tacked up, i pulled it off for the shots
yes i did vtt first and it was good. i was priming for 1h 40 mins at 260ht, went to bios and put multi to 10 and vcore to 1.65, and tehn bios kept freezinf for about 10 restarts, the i reset cmos and it was dead.

reject, you don't have a buddy nearby to hotflash your bios?

unfortunatly i dont :( but i should be getting a dfi as soon as i can sell my 5600. i might try ebay is it easy?

So is it safe to do this mod or not? Does the vdimm mod kill it, or was it just something else? I need more vdimm, but don't need a dead board.

Just want to know if this is safe to do or not, and how does the integrated memory controller handle this? If my proc. has sufficient cooling does it matter?

all right this is probly old hat by now, but someone on vr forums is gonna do it, so im clarifying:
vdimm: solder a 1k VR to each pad of the removed resistor, and set to 790 ohms BETWEEN 1ST 2 LEGS. lower resistance to increase vdimm. MAKE SURE vtt is at or less than 1/2 vdimm, this board will kil ur cpu if vtt is more then 1/2.
eg. if u want 3.2vdimm, u mmight wanna set 1.6vtt and 3.25 vdimm to be safe
after the voltage u want is found, solder the 3rd leg of vr to the nearby ground hole

this mod was around the time the forums was hacked tso Cat and i talked thru pm at eoc. sorry for any unanswered questions.
