So I am still doing to testing. Not much more to report than what I said in my first post. I am mainly checking for compatibility with all my different ram. The K8NSpro has weird problems with all 3 slots filled.

As far as top end run's I will have those in a bit. I just want to be careful with to much vddr. How high were people running when they killed their A64's?

Also as far as me reporting not needing to adjust the +3.3v rail freecableguy, I just wasn't sure how the booster was going to act. Just thought I would let those know who might not realise how this thing works.

So all in all I really like this thing. I am not afraid of vmod's and have done many, but this is a cool easy way to do vddr mods from now on. Also bypassing the +3.3v rail is a big plus!

Look forward to this one guy's. It's a winner.:toast:

**EDIT** BTW I do have a P4C800-E setup to test on. It has a 3.2C in it that will only do 240fsb, but I will try and pop in my 2.4C M0 before I sell it to test top end.

I got mine from OCZ as well. Sorry I didn't see you asking before.

The mounting of 1 of those little heatsinks doesn't seem very sturdy? :confused:

sorry I never saw your post when I posted. No it is not a secret. That is why I added the ;) smiley. I just did not get it retail therefore I didn't really feel the need to divulge my source at the time. If I did get it retail though I would have no problem telling you all where. Also If I do find out when these are shipping I will post it.:)

I may just be excited about this unit, but that BH6 you have clocked quite nicely Spec3....almost a 100MHz RAM OC! (I know its been done many a times, but not with PC3200 BH6 :D)

Looks like copper and the unit has some weight to it. Next time I have it out I'll give it a scratch to make sure

If the heatsinks are really made from copper, then I'm quite disappointed.
You should replace them with some aluminium heatsinks then (or get a fan blwoing at them). ;)

er why? copper transfers heat better than aluminum

But it's far worse if it comes to passive cooling like in the case of the non-ventilated mosfet heatsinks! I won't exlpain it thoroughly again, but I can assure you that you can believe me. ;)

If it's about active cooling, then the situation is completely different, no doubt. :)

I only wanted to point out that it could get dangerous without ventilation, because I had already read that this thing runs wuite hot.

But if you've got a fan blwoing over it, everything should be fine. ;)

yes, you are right that aluminium would be better but the difference isn't that big!

btw most people have some fans in their case so copper would be better.

dont think that there are many people who dont have any fresh air in their case.

Only little airflow doesn't really suffice. This can be seen when silent aircooling with a copper heatsink is attempted. With fans spinning really slow (<2000RPM), the copper heatsinks loose to the hybrid (copper base, aluminium fins) heatsinks, nearly all the time.
So you should have a fan directly pointed to the heatsinks if you really want to make sure that the cooling is sufficient.

the mofsets are on 2 little legs that are not held down fixed, so they are set at wierd angles sometimes. The sinks are just taped on and I had to mod the sinks anyway to fit on an A8V.

They are the vantec aluminum ones. I think there are 5-6 mofsets under them. The mofsets/sinks get very hot and hotter as the voltage goes up. Without a fan you can burn your finger on them. On some MB's I would be more concerned if they touch the DDr spreader and heat up the memory next to it.

edit2: FYI, trying a single 256MB KHX3200K2/512 BH-5 stick and it's doing memtest fine at
