I eagerly await the benches btw i thought 265 was the max fsb for DFI boards w/o a big arse a/c unit blowing in your case what pushed ya over that

hehe... sounds nice :D . But I am not really willing to connect internet to it (I had to disconnect it from my inet rig, no router here)... and I dunno if the networking connection would stay alive after some heavy benches at bus clocks like these (I know sometimes my SB audigy LS fails)
Yeah, me too :DQuote:

But everything higher than 268 results in an immediate lockup when doing benches :( (I think APIC is maxed, and I don't turn it off)
My room was at 24°C :) No AC units around... hehe.
hey SAE, go download CodeRed's program timer app thingy to see ur exact time in superPi, u cant find the newest version on the last page of the superpi thread
dayum how did you get that dfi stable with vcore mod???
When I was testing my Infinity for its max stable fsb, I finally had to settle for 240, but 267-268 fsb was the setting where windows immediately crashed regardless of memory timings, vcore, vdd or anything else I could think of. Of course, I didn't boot with that fsb but went for it with nf7vcore.Quote:

I think, it's a corellation here.
if only this nforce2 board could run 300MHz FSB 1:1
should match A64 i assume.. :)
nice clock sae.. keep pushin.. :)
Thx :)
Erm, DisposableHero... I did all the OCP/vdroop mods and have sinked all the important hotspots with copper sinks :D
would you recommend that bios for everyday use to me?Quote:

and can you link me to those vdroop mods :D 2.1v stable? :slobber:
very sweet stuff there! looks like you had good luck indeed and have a bunch of vanilla hardware.
I would not recommend that bios at all :(Quote:

It has the bad habit of loosing bios settings when saving too much OC related stuff at once. So I often have to try to load my CMOS reloaded settings twice or three times... till it works (otherwise it just clears cmos).
vdroop, OCP etc... :)

Check out the useful information there. Nice pics there, too :)
P.S. I just overheard that vanilla hw thingy ;) (CPU ain't that good, IMO it only does 2.6 on water)
any newz on the PI situation?
No, not yet... :( Did not install 2k3... will do later. I installed 2k1 and hope to get a clue what's sometimes causing instability... and what settings corrupt fat32 drives ;)Quote:

Sae,
truly awesome work!
I'm really stunned that you can get such a high vcore. I tried the vcore and vdroop mod you explained to me in the FAQ thread but still everything above 2V is an instant crash.
Did you L12 mod your cpu?
Yep. L12 done. Otherwise there won't be high multipliers at these high fsbs...Quote:

I can do over 2.2V but I cannot really use it, either the cpu does not like it or the board itself. :(
That explains a lot. I can do 265 FSb with 8x multi but not with 10x or higher. I did not do the L12 mod though.
Will try it at once!
Hehe, good luck :D
Do some 3d benchin.... Break the record...
hmm yeah ive gotta do this mod too soon, i can do 260 at like 9 multiplier, although the chip can go to 2680mhz, but with 260fsb i can only do 2340mhz.Quote:

As I mentioned in the first post... I have some probs with 3d atm.Quote:

But i'll try soon. I doubt it would suffice to complete 3dmark...
2.6 on water is bad? :( then my mobile sux :D
what L12 mod did you do? link? :D hehehe
thx man :)
why dont you try it with apic disabled?
Cool-literally. I need to get my board working half as well as yours. My chip will do 2.8 on air, but it is not stable with the cooling I have. I run all the time around 2.5-2.6(220+x11.5) with 1.75 volts.(prime stable) My max fsb is 240. That is not very stable either. I think I would not really see a very big differnce from where I am now and 2.7 all the time on air. I get around 11000 mips in sisoft arithmetic at 230x11.5. I suppose my x800xt will make the biggest differnce whrn it comes to gaming. Let me know if you have any specail tricks for the nf7-s.
Ordinary L12 :DQuote:

APIC disabled is against my principles ;) And does not really gain anything (go ask LastViking)... the board's limits are around 268 under normal ambient circumstances. Maybe one can get a screenshot at 275, but no benches.
/edit.
@zxlr8
You will get it... but NF7 can be very     :banana:y as well ;)
What does that mean...pardon my naiveness... y?
Damn, I thought my 35 second superpi was good. I'm only on water.
That OCP mod is definitely good. I did manage to superpi with a 2.1Vcore (bios reading) though:

The problem is hardlock in approximately 1 hour of SETI....
2.075V (bios reading) is 100% stable :toast:
Yeah, that happens automatically when using a "bad/offensive" word ;) (it's been "b1tchy")Quote:

@cpl1234
That's definately nice :)
And of course you got the OCP mod working :D Good job.
