The romsip is quite difference than any previous bios... look something similar to DFI romsip with little tweak ...

The romsip tabel of NF7S2 already tested on AN7... but not working... :(
NF7 has Rubycon caps too... I wonder if the value of these new ones is higher?
another thing i like bout this new layout is the BIOS chips and clear-cmos jumper... down the bottom so my clumsy hands dont hav to squeeze between SATA cables when clearing CMOS.

Look at the area around the second row of capacitators.... in one pics , they are jumbled together, on the other, they have spaces + components between them...
(the area behind the cpu socket, from where the pic is taken)
Indicates its not the same PCB even, as components have moved, not just added/removed ;-)

Either they rotated the smaller mosfets or there are additional ones :thumbsup:
the first is an NF7S2G and second is a NF7S2... maybe there's more than just Gigabit LAN between the two models.

yeah, I dont know why they would go through the trouble of making two different PCBs if there wasnt something really different about the boards..
maybe the non-G board is a real cheap-o model, while the other one is atleast descent by ABIT standards.

only 14% overvolt...
small mosfets...
no active NB cooling...
no Soundstorm...
This clear set me a direction that this is a budget board where AN7 will play the top line!!!
the percent increment is a crap implementation no doubt... but we may find the MOSFETs used are superior quality items.Quote:

wow if abit wont release a better board they will use a LOT of customers. just think about how mayne people bought an nf7-s when they were released! almost every ocer had one, so all the top scores were on an nf7-s and everybody wanted that board!
