Hmmmmm, I have tried to read my voltage twice on pin #5 according to BTBJP's pic and it just shuts my rig down. I am afriad to try it a third time.
My mobo is a A8V Deluxe Rev. 2.0...do you think thats the problem? this thread was started on Rev. 1.0 A8V Deluxe...as far as I know the only difference is working pci/agp locks.
I really want to get more than 2.8v to my ram on this board. My FX-53 is begging!!!!

yes, I would like to know if these vmods work on the rev2 a8v also.....
:)

okay, maby someone a little smarter than me can explain this.
My a8v undervolts .1vdimm for whatever reason make'n the best it will do stock is 2.7~2.71vdimm. So i did the vdimm mod. pin 6 to pin 11 with a 50k VR. Clear cmos and power up, check vdimm in bios and its 2.63v. Nice im not undervolting anymore. Set 2.8vdimm and save/exit. Board doesnt post, clear cmos and repeat still no post. Clear cmos and set 2.7vdimm, get 2.71v and it posts. 2.77vdimm got into windows then froze. Ovp setting in at 2.75vdimm? Unhooked vdimm mod, set 2.8vdimm in bios and still 2.7~2.71vdimm but at least it posted and is stable.
Anyone know of a reason why this would happen and better yet a solution for it would be much appriciated.
update, decided to hook in my speakers and get a cpu overclock failed warning if i set it .01v higher than 2.77vdimm. Tried grounding to a mobo screw and the same problem persists.

hmm it does not seem to work for me i just return with a black screen when i choose 2.6v and save and exit i can see multimeter goes for 2.99v and no screen is coming and it doesent matter if i chose 2.7 or 2.8v it is just showing 2.99v and goes for black screen :(
this mod does not work for Rev 2

mines a 1.02. Try a .1 overvolt at 2.6v and walk yourself up and see what happens. may have another of the stupidly low ovp boards.

Same here for Rev 2.0 Board. Did the mod, clear CMOS and Save & Exit. Boot regularly at 2.64. Got into BIOS, set to 2.8 but no post. Clear CMOS again and got into BIOS. Enabled Post Reporter. Set Vmem @ 2.8 and restart. The post reporter said: CPU Initialization Failure.
P.S. Nice feature by the way.(post reporter)
Maybe I'll try an OCZ DDR Booster.

Well I tried to vmod the mobo again but with no luck. I set the BIOS vmem voltage to 2.6. Did the mod but this time using a 200K VR. I booted up. Booted OK, taking a meausurement of 2.64. Lower the VR, meausure again, 2.7.... Lower again and again and it seems that the board stops at 2.9V. Anything above that and the board doesn't boot at all. I'll exchange it with the MSI and feed my BH-5 with the volts they need.

Looking for the CPU vmod for this board... if you have one please post here. This thread seems to be incomplete.
Edit: Also is there a vdd mod for this board? Thanks.
