I heard some of you gus say is: "It was going so wel" "Phase-change was getting more and more populair"
That maight be true but maybe 2% of al computer enhousiasts is pracising overclocking and from that 2% maybe another 2% buys A Prommie/ MachII/lightspeed, ect.. So the matket for phase-changes is really really limited.
But as many times said above, why ? why ??:slobber:
yeah this is sad but also sad for the people who bought a prom (like me)
no nventiv = no cpu kits in future = sux very hard :/
maybe now is the time to buy a cpu kit ?

Kit-Tronics.com has already raised the price of their remaining Mach1's by $200!!! And kits have also gone up by $50!!!
Talk about a crock of shyte... they are basically price-gouging within hours of this news... which is very, very poor in my mind. :(
Now... after saying that... I just bought an A64/FX kit from them for... <drum roll>... $130!!! I didn't want to do it but I want to make sure I get a kit for my Mach1 before EVERYONE is sold out of them and eBay is bringing $200 for used kits. :( :( :(

i wonder if they knew they wouldn't have to care about the lifetime of the R404 filled danfoss R134 compressor when they solt it.
There is still a chance left some company bought nventiv's knowhow and will maintain the prommy product series
They do their watercooling kits as well and they seem to be very popular so they must be gaining extra income from them.Quote:

Yikes thats a lot. I bought the A64 kit from crazy PC fearing a price hike. It's $60 + $7 for S&H but its the mach II kit. I dont think they are different though. After all, the kit you gave me for my socket A even said Mach II on the box. :/Quote:

In the phase change section there is another thread explaining a business partner pulled out. Check it out for more. I guess there saying all is done for but I would have thought maybe they would get "picked up" so to speak by another cooling company.

Man I am so glad I was impulsive and bought the Athlon64 CPU kit yesterday when it was still cheap (relatively) at Kit-Tronics!
I don't think current owners need to make a fuss, these coolers should last quite a long time and building your own mounting brackets shouldn't be too hard.
The thing is, us resellers have no one to RMA to when you RMA to us. These price rises will offset the risk of faulty ones being sent back.....Quote:

I know we here at Tekheads still offer a 1 year warranty, but if we get any back now, we're in a mess quite frankly, and stand to lose a lot.
Having said all that, we have not increased our prices.
looks like my prommy just tripled in value:)
