I know of 2 guys who have tried this mod with no success (one of them being me:)). The reconnecting the points goes fine, but when it comes to flashing the card your out of luck, whatever you do the card is still recognized as a pro and has the same device ID. Either blueremy got a lucky card or its a windup, or he could know something we dont know yet, like how the hell do you flash the card properly!!! (hopefully this is the case!)

Are using the beta drivers vs the retail 4.5s making any difference ?
havent tried officials yet, I had the betas installed from messing with the card earlier.....
think ill give it a miss for tonight its a bit late now :)
Now the question is, do i still buy an x800xt as planned or do i buy a pro and mod, i think ill still get the xt couse of the better ram but i dunno is 100 bux worth it?
some people are hitting close to 600 on the ram I think ...
I think that with the complex shader programs that new games will be using the memory speed will not be as nearly as large of a factor in the overall performance as the core speed is. (Dont quote me on that though)

Ive been doing 616/585 with a vmod on core. Anyone have the bios stated above and a link to the vmem mod for the x800?
Chris, I would like a step by step guide from you what you did, concerning joing the bridges and when you flashes bios, with which bios and what tool.

Concerning the vmem mod, if someone would post a High res picture of the back of the board we may be able to determine where it is.
