24k is easy to do with the stock XT clocks. With An A64 3400+ @ only 2.5ghz 1:1 @ 2-2-2-5 scored 23k 01. When you clock the A64 even higher you will see the 24k. Unfortunately I do not have my 9800XT anymore. Waiting to get the Geforce 6800

GPU has been clocked up to speeds of 600 MHz and the memory clock for the 6800 is rated at 700 MHz and the 6800UV is rated at 1 GHz
thats old news...as far as the 600mhz clock, that was done in labs by nvidia (theyve done this to every gpu chip they made, i believe the gf4s were up to 700 at one point)

well, sorry if it's old news. but for those who didn't catch it the 1st time. anyways, very promising info for overclockers with Prometia and vapo or dry ice coolers.
no way the NV25 was clocked @ 700MHz in the labs
if it scaled so well why was it only released @ 300MHz for the top tier card?
I agree, no way for 700. Even 450 would be very hard with a cherry picked chip and extreme cooling and voltage. That is a far cry from 700.

Impressive Oc on stock cooling , but um-impressive scores. I think a P4 EE on Home XP with a modded vapo cooled G6800 ultra should easily get 600mhz and 16k+ in mark03. Athlons arent as good as P4 in 3dmark03.Quote:

563 on stock cooling... I almost fell out of my chair until you corrected that *only* 463. Good for stock though. Now lets see some phase change cooling on it. Hasn't anyone done phase change on NV40 yet?
Perhaps, later this summer nVidia will go back to TSMC for NV40 production and get slightly better yields (no geforce, I don't think 600-700Mhz will magically materialize for retail card).

That's why I love nvidia, you can spend countless hours either getting massive increases or absolutely nowhere !
I'm feeling pretty confident of nv40 in 3dmark03 now, I think 222 million transistors will love cold temps and I know IBM silicon loves voltage.

I am quite sure that the architect of the nv40 core is much more effecient than the R420 in 3DMark03. I am not so sure about the overclockability of the chip with phase change, as we know that the ATI core can probably be clocked quite high.
Ultimately it could become something similar to A64 Vs Prescott, higher clock, or higher effeciency?

here is that link for a 600mhz core on a NV40. I wonder how they are getting 600 mhz on the core from the stock 400. That is a 50% overclock! Must be a typo. or nvidia has has pulled something out of their :banana: :banana: :banana:
Yea, I guess you are right. It can't be 600mhz, not without Vmod and phase change, at least.
If that was possible nvidia would crush ati.
