P4 3.4 Ghz

im getting as5 tommorw and goig to flash pc with bios 15 tommorow

but after alot of messing about it is runing at 3.743 @stock volts and temps idle @40c ful load 50ish

currently using DFI infinity 865PE
using the gat/Pat feature it is up to 3.75@stock volts,
time to due more tweaking :D

this is seriously not a bad mobo ..

ok, i can get 3.8 @ 1.7 volts (BIOS)
seems to be undervolting ... im waiting for my replacment now ...

Hey there ibby & eberyone else here, just thought I'd say hello to you all... this is my first post on here...

I recieved my SL793 3.4ghz Northy the other day. I bought it from someone on ebay.

It had never been used and arrived in a earing case (??) just loose and rattling around... (where it came from , god only knows ;) )

I didn't hold many hoeps for the Chips potential but OMG! its great!

I ran it for an hour at 200fsb, then 210, then 220, 230, 240... i was starting to get giddy but it wouldnt get stable at 250fsb (4250mhz).

However, I have now bumped up the vCore to 1.75v (No v.mods on my P4C800E-dlx yet) and it is rock stable at 245fsb :)

I don't know whether its gonna be worth/safe trying 1.8vCore to get 250fsb+

Whats your opinions?

and its not doing 2 bad .. its got up to 3.819 Mhz
and thats on stock volts Iam impressed with this cheap mobo

I'm Runing a Koolance. setup It on my Abit-max-3 mobo The cpu is a 3.40 runing at 3.85 I have a Asus 9800xt card is runing a Cool-Matic ATi Cooler is on a Thermaltake Aquarius II liquid cooling setup. The bios is 14. My ram is OCZ two 512 4200. the timing is 2.5-4-4-8. The ram is ddrv 2.9. The vcore 1.65. my temp is 45 in bios.......

the screen shot of the 3.915 .. is that stable ?

have u gave it any more voltage on the core ?

I think Mr-Timbo must change your mem ratio and then I think you can overclock more

I use 1.725 to oc my 2.4C into a 3.2 and I don't see a problem it's stable after 3dMark2k1 and other benchs, some games and then working in Photoshop, no prob till now, ey but is a 2.4 not a 3.4 so I dont know
