you put the sticks in the freezer for 10 mins and the heatsinks just come off? how long do you leave them out afterwords to dry off? condensation wont mess it up? I tried using a hairdryer , but no go, they got really hot to hold and they wouldnt come off
Heat makes the 2 sided tape "stickier" the cold kind of allows them to be separated easier...
C
yes but how do i go about taking off the heatspreader? and why wont you answer my im's lol
wanna see some Overclockers :banana::banana::banana::banana:??

Now that's some serious $hit there!!!
Isn't it against the law to walk into Fry's with a light saber and demand all their BH5?
Nice!!!! Be sure to post the range of the limits of all those sticks.

:D
BTW, in DC the first two sticks I opened are looping 3DMark @ 226mHz, 1:1, 2-2-2-5, Perf Mode Normal, DRAM Timing Normal @ 2.85V...
I'm pretty sure it IS BH-5!
C
Holy crap, charlie. :slobber:
Are those sticks for a future "giveaway contest"? :)
Wow charlie. Not much else to say lol

Wait a minute, since when are they double sided??
Yes, they're double sided....
Pretty much CAN'T be BH-6...my stick of XMS3200C2 v1.1 (BH-6) will scream up to 250, but ONLY at 2-3-3-6....even at like 211 it will choke at 2-2-2-5!!!
C
That's odd...
I have the 3200, and its only one sided (8 chips).
Yours is 4 on each side?
I don't understand why Kingston would use both methods.
Yes.... 4 each side.
C
it sounds like the dw45 chips are CH5 and the dw50 chips are BH5Quote:

DW45 here but running at 242, 3.2v, 5-2-2-2. Sure doesn't overclock like CH-5. I'm wondering if kingston doesn't use a "grab-bag" of chips on their khx 3000.Quote:

thinking of purchasing some of this from a UK retailer. In separate 256mb sticks..
£35 a stick, which is pretty good.
Also, what do u do when putting it in the freezer? Put it in a bag or something?
lol that bh5 is sure a safe investment in future :D DDR-2 sux and there wont be any memory that can compete with bh5 anytime soon.
i just bought a stick of bh5, can you guys tell me whther its good ol bh5 or saome newer bh5 thats doesnt oc that good? was lucky to find it, only paid 40€ for a 256mb stick :D

Nah, DW-45 can be both (not on KHX3000 though, they're all BH-5/6).Quote:

And mine and all other KHX3000 I've seen is DS, so I guess all of them are.
