I seen like 3 3.0C going over 3.8 box cooler in one week, so probably theyre better then before.
yea probably... i bet there using the same cores as there 3.4ghz counterparts
my 2.8 has D1 stepping but's it's missing a lot of caps, which is strange. maybe it's a good core, and from the middle of the wafer , not a failed EE.
The ones that share similarities with the EE are the M0 stepping, not the D1.
I got 40 of those at my work ;) the spec is this..
PROD CODE: BX80532PG3000DSL6WU
MM: 852639
FPO/BATCH: L350A776
PACK DATE: 01/20/2004
MADE IN MALAYSIA ;)
ANyhow, i rippe done out and tried it in my Vapochill and voila 4150Mhz... prime stable.. but too hot for my Vapo to handle... so i had to drop down too 4050Mhz for 24/7 use!!!
They are real killers :)
the back of it looks like a P4EE? is it an m0 stepping chip?
is your hsf seated well? 65°C load sound very hot.
CPU-Z says D1 stepping. The hsf is seated like it should be, i know its hot and i use the thermalpad, but its stable :)Quote:

Later this week i will give it some as5
Im going to run it like this for 24/7 use, my ram fits it just like that! 1:1 250MHz 2-2-2-6 :D
how much volt do you throw at it?Quote:

I used 1,6v hitting 4055MHz :D
I have SL78Z stepping on my 3.0C.. thats wierd too :D
BTW nice OC ;)
( jävligt nice hehe :p: )
just ran super pi @ 4500mhz 1.7v...
with the same cpu that Gef has... it overclocks nice...!
Do you have a screenshot of that? I'd like to see it. (and others too, I guess) ;)Quote:

btw: its not my cpu. fosco owns it.
i hope my new SL6WU makes 4ghz+ stable with my h2o rig..
My 3GHz SL6WU (L342) is 3DMark 2001 stable at 3,8Ghz with 1,58V (Cant go higher due to my crapy PSU). Cpu voltage is moving betven 1,54-1,62 (in Bios @ 1.6V on Asus P4C800-E deluxe). I must do Vdropp i think?
is it me or the 3.0C OC very good now?
Hello..
The max i can run super pi 1M at default vcore and H2O cooling is 3990MHz..
Fosco
wow... and i thought my cpu was nice... i can do 3900 mhz 1,552V on 10C water with mine... prime stable
Here is a pic :
http://privat.bluezone.no/forman/images/4g-water.jpg
It isn`t prime stable at this speed and voltage..
And forget about the super pi time ( 3:2 and very bad mem timings )
Fosco
Hi guys...
I have a cpu with that "nice":D stepping...
I have my cpu watercooled...
http://www.pcdiga.com/imagens/VoRtAnMaDgE3.0_powa.JPG
Right now i am reaching more 30mhz then in the pic cuzz before i didn't have my psu modded and i was without the droop mod of my p4c800...
I can even enter windows at 3900 but a lot of erros in services of xp...
Got to try clockgen later to see if i can boot at that speed...
Cheers
Vortan

Same stepping as Gef`s
SL6WU here...;)
Hey guys!
I'm truely impressed with your results. Unbelievable especially gef's on air.
Could you please post some results on Watt dissipation using Sandra?
I would like to see how much heat they produce at those specs!
Thanks,
Freezer
