I still had to force PCI-E 3.0 using the NVidia registry patch in Windows 7 to get PCI-E 3.0 out of my video cards, but it works perfectly. The PCI-E slots do show up properly as 3.0 in the BIOS by default, however.
I just became aware of the E5-1680 V2 a few hours ago...and was very happy to see it. It's not the 12 core version that I'd like to see, but it's a big step. I've already begun praying that they're unlocked. Unfortunately, these new chips are OEM only, which'll make them a bit more of a pain to get a hold of. I'll snag one as soon as they become available...;)
