Well that's new. Could have sworn there was an errata out on E5 EP's regarding PCI-E 3.0. Maybe new steppings or I was looking at the wrong doc? Time to reset uptime on my E5 machines and enable PCI-E3.0 with new BIOS ;)Quote:

The fact that this CPU is pretty much the only Xeon E5 V2 that isn't in stock anywhere leads me to believe that it was a late breaking release decision from Intel and not originally planned. I think this CPU may be a feeler from Intel to gauge interest for higher core count CPUs on the desktop. A great first step, but a pity it's not SMP capable, available in a retail version, or more widely publicized. The success or failure of this CPU all hinges on whether or not it ends up being unlocked...I'm eager to find out...;)
