Hey Hipro5, would you mind if I sent you my MAX3 to do all the mods on it!:D

I'm sorry, but is there a special technique when soldering a trace? I can't do it... Things just don't stay there. It's like soldering plastic (bad example... it kinda slides)
yeah man, seriously Hipro5 i'll pay like $150USD for you to do all the mods for me :D
One word. Awesome!!
I don't have the nerves to do these things myself not to mention the spare cash to replace the mobo if it were to go wrong. But i'm interested in the thick wire from the psu's 3.3v to that mosfet to give .2v extra load vdimm. It sounds like something even I can do.
But then I see two different pictures describing it.
Would this in itself give more stable high vdimm as well?
Thank you for your good words guys...... :toast:
That's good macci.........Vagp will help you at 1:1 mode though....... ;)Quote:

I've had these mods (excluding the extra cap and extra 3.3V wire and Vnorth was done directly on LM358) connect a while back but I removed the Vnorth and Vagp since those didnt seem to help me at all (maxed at 257 for 1:1 and around 325FSB with 8x multi - its the same with Vdimm+Vtt only). I hope that the extra cap is the key here :D
No ,not at all....... ;) :DQuote:

Try using soldering paste so as to cleen soldering iron's "nose" and keep the temperature of it low........Quote:

Yes with the wire you'll gain a bit.....Quote:

insane mods hipro,
do you plan on doing any mods to any of the nF2 or nF3 mods chipset mobos? you seem to have some unique ideas, that are proving to be awesome
when I grow up, I wanna be like Hipro hehehehehehe
man that's some insane mods :)
Thanks M8..........I've mod some NF2 based mobos for my friends such as ABIT NF7-S , ASUS , EPOX and DFI Lan Party(875)..... :)Quote:

Any hints soldering on smd capasitors?
IMO its the hardest part on these mods, cause those are SOO fragile and they almost allways are falling apart (heads).
Low temp (about 240 to 270*C) on the soldering iron and some soldering (cleaning)paste whould be nice.....You can also solder regular resistors.....1/4 W or even beter 1/8 Watts.....Quote:

All hail hipro5 :bows:
Did you ever concidder giving a semminar once in a while? :D
Thanks allot for sharing m8.
Makes me want to go out and buy a board just so I can mod it LOL.
Shame I dont have a P4 chip.
By far the best guide I ever put my eyes on Hipro.
Extremely well documented and with pics to boot. The pics are a modders best friend, and you supplied several pics of each mod.
I even thank you, and I dont own that board. I read the guide just for the experience of it. :hehe:
If you could post these that would be awesomeQuote:

especially for the NF7-S, it needs some new modz
Thanks a lot guys..... :toast:
Here are photos of IC7-MAX3 mobo for the Vmem(Vdimm) The VTT is the same with the others.....Look above R50 resistor...There is a missing SMD tranzistor with three legs(contacts)....You HAVE to unsolder that transistor too in case to work proper........The R50 on MAX3 is a 680Ohms one and not a 0 Ohms....After that, you HAVE to peek only 2.5 - 2.8Vmem within bios to work proper. You will not be able to peek the 2.9 - 3.2Volts any more....and we can't do anything(for the time been) about that...Thanks......
...and...

Ahh, if only more of us had those kind of skills - both electronics and soldering. Sure wish I did.
Massively xtreme motherboard hipro! :toast:
