Yeah that's gaming console money. They locked both major deals for CPU/GPU(or APU if you like).

Any ideas on release dates for Richland?
Kaveri's looking at a late 2013 release yes?

Is richland going to be in laptops ? Or is it just desktop for now?
I would like to see a graph between top discrete cards and CPU graphics during last few years (well, since the introduction of i5).
I think it would show that CPUs are gaining more and more ground. And they will gain even more.
Any richland laptop/mobile news?
is richland coming out tomorrow?
I've found this:
http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/30...-12th-of-marchQuote:
According to our sources, the NDA will be lifted on 12th of March, 8am EST, and we are sure that we will see at least a couple of reviews as well as some additional info regarding the price and the availability date.
hm, but I dont know nothing about it...
restricted paper launch of igpu like last time lol?
i saw another website saying march 19th
we'll see
4.1Ghz base and 4.4Ghz boost ...
Lol, it's far from old time, that 4ghz overclock was unbreakable by AMD's chips ...
So evrything is done each 22ns.
D2Q + Q2D, should be insanly be loooooooow ...
Yes, you are right :) Thanks!
Hmm I wonder if these will fit in my laptop which has an A10-4600m looks like same socket.
This would be awesome
Probably just need a biod update and win8
Sweet
More like a MAJOR BIOS update....
Charlie covered Richland in detail:

Looks interesting. The amount of little tweaks they put into it makes it more balanced product than Trinity was. It can dynamically clock to higher frequencies(and last longer at them) within same TDP, it can CF with GCN cards( how did they do that?) and it has somewhat lower power and heat output. The additional software bundle that comes with it is a solid bonus. Should be enough to tide them over in mainstream notebook segment until Kaveri strikes in Q4(hopefully).
Don't forget the surprise of this whole affair: Richland's Northern Islands GPU architecture is compatible through Dual Graphics with GCN cores.
yah my a10-4600m clock speed bounces all over the place and when i played with the p-states i could drop almost ever p state down by a few mv and it was completely stable.
im kinda glad they got to spend extra time with this generation and tweak it
Man these specs are great. Seems like alot of power within a 35w envelope.
As someone else mentioned I hope they find there way into some quality chassis.
My daughter not only wants gaming power but it has to look cool :)
This will help the steambox ;)
I want to see bench numbers between A10-4600m vs. A10-5750m
And power consumption
Am I the only one who hates the A4-A10 thing? The A6 for example, the same name 3 different core choices, just terrible for consumers. I should note I own an A6 laptop, shopping for them is incredibly confusing when you don't have the internet in front of you.
I have to agree the naming scheme is very confusing when shopping for them. Luckily I'm going the A10 route for her needs. They are pretty easy to shop for.
I'm thinking top tier Richland + mid range discrete should be a really nice laptop. Probably wont need 7970m at that point.
