great achievement! :D What's your board production place? It's written near ddr slots. What northbridge week?Quote:

I might have read this wrong, but I think youre saying, run your board up to its highest stable fsb, then without changing any settings put more volts through the cpu.
I thought it was a fact that using more volts than needed, results in instability, and you should only use whats needed.
Sorry if I'm off track, its early here.
TDF.
i dont find it, where is it???

The nb week is to be found on the nb itself ;)Quote:

The production place is china... :)
thx SAE =o)
No problem ;)Quote:

anyone get instabilty either way with the vcore mod going over 2v?
ill get a hard lock up as soon as i run anything.. even at stock speeds
Hey DisposableHero... you found the thread :)
I got massive problems with the vcore mod, the vdimm mod and the high fsb/cpu clocks... Bluescreens with driver_irql_not_less_or_equal in hpt3xx.sys ... appeared. prime was not longer stable than 2minutes max...
High fsb and cpu do not go together with my board... infinity died and I am really clueless why. After switching to single channel and restarting the system it did not come back...
I try a LB B next time... have to wait though :(
Same problem here.. 2.03V max on Vcore. I have the mods.. Vsense doesnt seem to work altough I can stay in bios @ 2.15V. So I think the board just can't handle it???? I need the vcore to break my pifast and 3D benchies
There has never been any ovp since I modded my first infinity... I do not understand people pushing others to do a vsense mod.Quote:

I accidently even tried 2,4VCore and it worked. Okay, it did not boot into windows... but how should there be any ovp when you are able to start up the board with 2,4V??? Probs are the lack of buffering the voltages through caps (high quality, high capacity)...
Anyway. Fewture, I think you know what my problem was... :D I need 2,08V to do 2,86-2,9GHz and it 's been never stable for me except using single channel with my 1st board (most stable rails)
I don't need my 2655Mhz..what I need is 260MHz on a 10 multi  I'm seriously thinking to sell this board and get an A7N8X and mod the hell out of it :D That board can do 2.2V now with the new mods and all. Also the ones that are in the stores now will do 250 no problem..Quote:

I'll keep this board for 2 or 3 weeks till the prommy arrives..do some benchies and then sell it I think. Unless my barton will fly in a prom @ 2.00V.
Edit:
Oh..I will disconnect the Vsense mod and see what happens. I don't think it wil stay at 2.15V...but I'm not sure now..
And why can you bench at high Vcore?? I saw your 3D run.. I want that too
Hey Fewture :)
The benches at high fsb/high vcore are pure luck... (a little cooling and skill, lcuk with hardware and so on...)
I even got an 8M superpi run once with my 1st board iirc :)
But most of the time you are getting kicked back to desktop or watching nice bluescreens (what a calming color :D ), and prime drops you an error within 1 or 2 minutes
Now I am waiting for my lanparty rev.b and incase it 's bad too, I'll try to swap out dfi for asus too ;)
Keep me updated... and if you are getting the asus and benching with it... please pm me the results ;) :D
let me know how the LP goes.. ill do the same if it proves better.... this infinity is just annoying...
WHY CANT SOMEONE JUST MAKE A MOBO WITH ALL THE RIGHT FEATURES AHAHHAHRR
Hey,
That is the same problem that some NF7-S had and some (8rda+, too. I think this is a nforce2 related problem.
High Vcore+high FSB+High clocks on CPU = memory errors. ( but it is not the memory producing them, it is the NB, because cooling it better did reduce the problems, but did not solve `em at all - reducing vcore at the same speed did solve the memory errors completly ).
cyas
The problem with reducing vcore is the barton at 2,86GHz ;)
If you can convince my barton to do that stable at lower vcore than 2,08V (say 1,85V) you will be my master forever ;)
Maybe we should try to pelt the nb like in the former nf2 days
I'm gonna try and get my hands on a Mobile barton first. I've played with the Asus already. My roommate has one.. Within a couple of hours I had it running 252MHz and 245 3D. Couldn't go higher because of failing PSU.. 5V dropping to 4.2 :X Very easy board to tweak btw.. I'll keep you posted.Quote:

@ SEA
This is exactly the problem. The chips needs tons of vcore but then the NB is going to get unstable for some reasons.
T tested it with my barton that is doing 3,03 GHz.
I played @ 2,8 Ghz for the test, because it is stable @ 1,9 vcore @ that speed. Then if i rise the fsb there are no problems @this vcore, but if i rise vcore and FSB @ same speed the problems occur.
So if you need more vcore for a higher clock you will not be able to get a high FSb, too. That´s the problem.

Wow. What a mega-...no.. giga-barton :slobber:Quote:

Erm, if you cannot convince my barton i will take your barton instead ;) :D
Please tell me what barton it is... stepping and... if it's mobile. And where you got it here in Germany. :)
