Less vcore and it won’t finish but more vcore doesn’t help it complete the test at a higher clock. It just needs to be colder to run faster. Maybe I’ll freeze it soon………. :)
Windows 7-64
Chilled water (waterblock temp -7C at test start to +10C at test end).
26.97 FPS

Let me be the first to break 27 for AMD:

Very nice Zeus! Thats what I like. Maybe you can push RAMs to higher frequency to achive even better FPS.
nice ZEUS, I need better cooling, omg
27 fps
very nice
I made a shakedown run on LN2 today using the FX8150. It appears as though it has a Cold bug @-150/160C and cold boot bug @-117/136C. Kind of a waste of LN2 really, oh well maybe I’ll try the FX4100 to see if it can take the cold? This 8150 doesn’t appear to be a good clocker with air, water, chilled water or LN2?

FX and coldbug and coldboot? Really? I dont think so... My tip is that you have condensation problems.
Still a nice run old. Untouchable with simple water as far as i'm concerned. Did you try any other benches while you had it under LN²?
Anything is possible but it doesn’t really act like moisture. I’ve lost several CPU and motherboards (sometimes at the same time) to moisture but I’ve also had a few others that did restart after I dried them out but usually I can’t get them to post until I dry them out. Of the newer AMD CPU’s I’ve benched, one denab, two thuban’s and now maybe this FX have had problems with very cold temps. All the newer Intel CPU’s I have benched react the same way as this FX when tested under LN2. It could be motherboard related or some other problem but I’ll have a better idea when I test the FX4100 in this same CHV using LN2. Like I said anything is possible though.:yepp:
If it gets cold enough where you live I think you can beat it.:)
Zeus I did run some other benches CB-10/11.5 (posted them in the other threads) plus wprime 32 and SPI-1M. The SPi 1M is below such as it is. I didn’t really tune for any bench and for sure not SPI, I was just getting a feel for the CPU. I'm sure it will run SPI a lot faster than this one test but I didn't take the time to really test it.

Max is i can manage on water cooling and room temp around 24C ;)

Wow, I hadn’t noticed that. That’s funny. No I didn’t use any tuning software, everything was set in the bios and then windows loaded normally. The memory wasn’t really clocked up much at all. I didn’t have a chance to really push anything during those test because of the CB-CBB problem with the MB. I just noticed the NB speed is displayed really low in that SS also. I’ll need to look at some of the other SS’s that I didn’t post up to see if any of the others read like that.
One thing I have noticed when over clocking this MB when my FX4100 is installed is that the CPU Bus Frequency base setting is 100 rather than 200. The CPU Bus Frequency reads correctly (200 base setting) when the 8150 is installed.
I've had that happen to me too. I think it's a CPU-z bug....
If you see that again OT , close the CPU-z window and restart it, that always fixes it for me. ;)
IIRC the only time I've seen it though was when using "Turbo Evo" (tuning software, as Barr3l suggested).
Killer scores on this bench from all you guys though!!
I've not been albe to break 27fps on this bench yet (and encoding is important to me).
I'm going to re-do my rig over the holidays, give the rads/block a good cleaning, change the fans, put the 8120 back in and maybe even re-arrange my loop...
I know these chips run hot, but mine are just a little too high and the fans on my tripple are showing slow rpms.
Wish me luck... :p:
2100Mhz Cas2 that's what we can call a record!
Its well know bug on some GB boards.. UD3-U7 with new revision.
