God Naekuh... if my Bf see's this he'll never let me do my PC mod :P
if i go straight from 90's i end up getting too close to a mounting nut.
And it makes mounting difficult.
If i go loopy tubing.. well... it looks too wierd to for my tastes.
From a pure Y aspect.. i dont have enough space to lay out 2 barbs side by side even.
:\
Also its on its own loop, with dual D5's.
I dont think i have room to complain about flow in that loop.
Meh.... i dont think im gonna do another rebuild for a while after this...
Anyhow.... More updates:
So i sat down and started cleaning the case.
OMG so much black water.... >.<
But the results were worth it... i almost forgot that my case was this dark:

Had to clean out the rads also.
I just spray water into the fins to clean them out.
Nothing too fancy... coolant came out clean, so i dont need to flush my rads.

You can see why i love the old PA's

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0759.jpg
They will be mounted inside the case like this:

You guys see now why i dont like real acessions.
I need that extra floor.
I hope you had your HAZMAT suit on!
It looks great and please get some filters for the next build.....

Oh and yes i completed the 452 ;)

Did u guys know my power draw on just my pumps alone, is more then what some people do at idle on a complete system.
i think your cooling loop alone is worth more than my truck.
Naekuh: are you sure it's wise to put 4(!) rads one after another? Imho limited air volumetric heat capacity will drag back cooling efficiency. What do you think of placing those rads not sequentially in four rows but rather at angle - as in at eg. front and both sides, so that back is for blowing air out? Or mounting all rads beneath top cover of case and use front/back for blowing air out? Imho by doing that you should squeeze out more cooling performance (not that you lack it :D) from same amount of rads.
Of course, using powerful & noisy fans might make your pseudo stacking less bad, but why not gain same cooling performance yet with quieter fans from very same rads?
dude i think u missed some dust on the case :D
lovin' the hardware man!
Lol, good job cleaning that case NaeKuh. How long did it take you? A whole afternoon ?
Ideally one shouldnt.
But Churchy... i gave up efficiency in my builds when my system pulls a sub 1C delta.
Its like do i really want those .3C benfit doing it the right way? when im already at a 1C delta?
I stopped being like vapor and skinnee going after the lowest period.
My 2 lowest air restriction rads are up front also.
PA120.3 for the cpu, a PA160 for board... and MCR320x2 for a single 580GTX, with the possibility of me going SLI later.
You see what i mean? :P
yes... no joke... she took me the entire afternoon scrubbing..
Thanks guys.. today i work on my fans.
NaeKuh: but if it's not about .3C less delta but rather about 30-40% slower fans?
Naekuh sweeeeeeeeeet.
But seriously you were getting sub delta without a chiller ? Were you still running those san aces ?
I was getting something similar and though my sensors were off.
Ya MM are nice but they seem to have dust stick. It'll be my next chip upgrade when I clean mine.
Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk
yeah... but i gave up on fan controllers.
and it makes no sense getting a 2 fan controllers.
And i realized, i dont turn down my fans.
The PC is in my study... and not the room i sleep in.
The study also has a box fan which is more obnoxious blowing out the windows.
So the san aces on full sandwitched between rads, really dont bother me.
The Tribewerks up front will also be on full, so in all honesty i came to the conclusion i like this blingy FC-5, so i wont kill it by running 3 san aces or 3 fans on 1 header.
Instead i'll put flow meters on it.
Actually there not bad sandwitched between rads believe it or not.
Sensors were off as well.. lol
which is why i tossed out all my old sensors, and using all new ones.
Anyhow all soon to be diety's have a super weapon.
This is mine:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0771.jpg
Hard piped both inlets.
The outlet will feed up to the rad, and then down to the cpu.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0772.jpg
And a standing shot:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0773.jpg
Need to redue the sleeving, and then pull the RPM header out, so i can plug those into the FC-5, until i buy flow meters.
<3 real silver btw.
Its funny how i use more of it in my LC systems, then wear it on myself
When I first started reading through this I was wondering why you would need to take a case outside and hose it down. After seeing that picture of the case before tear down, I can see why. Yuck! I blow mine out with a small air compressor once every 2-3 weeks.
Finished the rad stack... ugh... i may start assembly today from the looks of it.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0776.jpg
Accidentally flipped the barb ports... im gonna have to swap them, better then attempting to hard mount that stack again..
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0775.jpg
And the collection of rads which are going into my system once again:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0774.jpg
and i cant finish off this post without including the pumps to go with those rads now can i?
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0777.jpg
Man thats a lot of molex's i need to connect..
lol, that pump/res combo looks like a massive laser !
looking sweet Naekuh! Makes me want to hurry up and build mine!!!
~Bex
Man...
Mounted the rads inside the case.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0778.jpg
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0779.jpg
I was worried that my res wouldnt fit, but it just bearly fits in there.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...o/IMG_0780.jpg
Now i start throwing parts inside.. :T
Definitely a lot cleaner looking that before! Great job NaeKuh, maintain the organized look!
Agreed!
Btw, do you have any plans to prevent a dust build-up like last time? More fan filters perhaps ?
NaeKuh its already starting to get hit by the dust hahaha.. looking good mate!
