from what i hear and seen different BIOSes have different restrictions on this green power thing, some let it work and disable it all together, and some will automatically set down your phases which is scary! Why would/could MSi overlook this?

I just sent a ticket to MSI concerning my blow up problem.
I sincerely hope they will look into it and reimburse all my burned down hardware
First off sorry for bumping an old thread. I just wanted to add my story, as I think i've been affected by this as well, was gaming as usual when out of the blew my PC shut off and would not power on again, checked my PSU status LED and sure enough it was red indicating failure or too high operating temp, heard the aforementioned soft clink/tweak sound but the pc would not power on, left the pc for a few hrs, tried again and no go. At this point I figured its just the power supply...Pop in a spare that I had from a previous build, worked perfectly and ran like normal for the better part of 10 hrs or so, left it on overnight then I goto sleep wake up today and find my pc off, and i know i never have it set to turn off/sleep/hibernate, so i go to power it on and sure enough no go, so i pull it out and test it on another system and again no go slight tweak/clink sound... at this point i start to suspect its another component causing the failures and not the power supplies themselves, i mean what are the odds 2 power supplies go bad on their own in the span of 24 hrs right...So i do some research sure enough come across this thread...I'm now concerned that perhaps the board, cpu, my 2 hd 5870s may have been affected, i hope not, but i can't test right now as i have to wait to get another power supply till the morning...reason i think the board mite b fried is that the standby led on the board to show its getting power isnt lit, i'm not positive if it does on the board i have, an MSI p67a-g45 b2 steeping, but on my other boards even tho the power supplies blew it would still light up the power led on the motherboard when not turned on..Funny thing is just like another member i didnt even touch Phase Control individually, i think i set power savings to max in the bios and Phase Control to Intel SVID which i believe is the default...I'm hoping for the best but i have a feeling I'll b RMAing more then just a power supply sigh...MSI WTF!!!!
