That baby blue color scheme was the main reason i have never bought Gigabyte boards.
yay, now MSI and Gigabyte have blue/black colour scheme ... And the high-end ones will be black like EVGA
that one looks decent.i still liked the newer P55 and x58 gigabyte boards when they ditched the 3+ color scheme
and just had the solid blue and white.in my opinion that was good looking and it distinguished itself from the other
MB vendors.now that they are going with black it kind of gets blurred with the rest of the MB's.
so many black MB's now.but maybe gigabyte can still stand out with the black silver and gold look, and of course
as long as they perform like or better than the current gigabyte P55 and X58's then im fine with whatever the color them:D
It could've been sad to see the distinctive blue PCB gone but these look reeeeally good. No doubt this will help sway many whom black PCB is a must and have disregarded GB products for this reason alone in the past.
Just a little remark though: I'd prefer not having the "Ultra Durable" slogan displayed so prominently on the faux NB sink (or anywhere else on the mobo for that matter). It feels like something you'd more likely see written on a pack of condoms than a high end motherboard.:p:
The main reason why I bought my R3E was for the slot layout. Its the only board I've seen that has perfect slot placement IMO.
One problem is that most boards dont have a full PCI-E slot in the top space due to needing room for the NB heatsink, and the heatsink usually prevents being able to install a long soundcard like the Titanium HD I just got in the top slot. On the R3E, it fits in nicely with two graphics cards, each of which still have a 3 slot space for decent airflow.
I really wish there were more boards with the R3E layout.
I really want a red and white color scheme like what shappire did back in the P4 days, it was sick, white PCB with red slots and heatsinks.
oh about time!!! now i could actually considering buying a Gigabyte Board. finally it looks like a MOBO not a something you see in a toddlers play room.
about time Giagbyte, i love the heat-sinks to, boards are looking good.
Where do I get the "none" EVGA-edition..... Black theme, no thanks, give me my blue Gigabyte :)
Personally I give a damn about the colors, I would pick even if it was pink (well that would be sexy in it's own way too or funny if nothing else) as long as it performs great, has a reasonable layout and price. Would gladly see them improve EasyTune software as well. I still associate Gigabyte with the blue PCB color though, not the light blue and would be nice to see something mixed with that too.
Perhaps I've been brainwashed by the old rainbow colored color scheme though. xD
what the :banana::banana::banana:? why is everyone talking about the colors..i thought this was a computer forum, not a fashion design forum. jesus shouldnt we be asking why there is only one 8pin for the cpu or some other :banana::banana::banana:, like how many jiggawatts we can pump through this thing? quad channel ram, dual channel ram, VRM????? GAH@
woman: do you like these black shoes?
other woman: oh no those look like JC boots not KL boots!
woman: yeah your right wth! i so hate the blue black scheme
other woman: yeah i sure hate those colors to! why doesnt it look like the old boots!
(conversation sounds like this thread, and goes on forever, too, wasting everyones time)
we need a white colour based board, GIGA! why not change to white?!
i would prefer 24phase
I'm hoping for a SB processor and board in time for christmas... I'm willing to bet december 21st is when SB will be available on newegg
@lowfat-i believe ive seen your system with some water cooled gpus right>? was that you with the tri-sli? looked slick as hell i'll give ya that :) enough that i recall it!
mine do tend to look like mad scientist experiments...but i kinda pride myself on that:bsod:
are these s1155?
wheres s2011 mobos?
This is brilliant!!! I have a black & white PC with a funky colored Gigabyte DS3 board, this will be perfect!
Been reading the comments about the colors.
Hey,I like the blue and white myself but the black works also.
When push comes to shove what should matter is performance not color and Gigabyte has been doing pretty damned well with their boards the last 18-24 months.
I've worked with a X58 UD3 and UD7 now and they are top notch IMO and you know I don't like single socket boards..
WOOOOOOWWW! That looks like a MOTHERBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARD!!
nvm.
