Nice stuff  looking forward to seeing more of this. Did you get your carbon vinyl from MNPC tech, or is it real carbon fiber?
Hi Matt and thanks for checking out my build.:)
The Carbon vinyl is neither MNPCTECH or real. Its called DI-NOC carbon Fiber sheet by 3M I did see that Frozen is carrying it but I think its cheaper buying direct. I paid $90 USD for 48x36" pc. It is the best I have seen outside of the real stuff. It has a woven look and is textured. The biggy is all the other stuff i have seen is gloss this is a flat look wich is good looking.
check out carbonfiberfilm.com
for anyone else interested, it appears swc is carrying di-noc as well: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/3mdicafivi361.html
Thanks! I might incorporate this stuff into a future build :)
Nice Ride Matt. maybe some Carbon for the ride:clap:
Ahah the trunk and hood on this car are already real carbon, its actually not my ride though I just know the photographer. I just wish it was mine, minus the drifting battle scars ;)
but I do plan on getting an s13 like this one in the near future, with the chargespeed widebody, and turbocharging it. all can be done for ~$10000 or less
Did some painting today Motherboard tray alum. cover

Personally I would have powder coated it, since the inside of the 800d is powder coated too
Hi Matt I thought about powder coat then decided to paint since I striped the whole case to bare and primed it. The motherboard tray will be covered by Carbon sheet.
I'm gonna take some heat for this one

i love that straight tube look
screw flow, rigs of this caliber are more about looks than performance.
just add another pump to overcome the pressure loss :D
more pics please!
Thanks Creeken:)
I already have duel pumps on both loops so thats covered. I'm not out to set any overclocking records just a cool looking system I can game a bit on and show off.
I'm an old disabled car guy who needed a project and hobby and picked computer builds .
Were the purple o-rings intentional?
you chose well slotrod, cars and pcs are very similar, engine, cooling, cable management, screwing on the back seat, custom paint jobs, etc..
So are you saying you used to go around and steal 1 wheel off cars? ;)
SCOTT Yes they where, Along with the possibility of a deep purple coolant. I'm having second thoughts on both Items not sure yet. YOUR THOUGHTS
CREEKIN :ROTF:Yea But they were lucky if we left a wheel in my time.
Today they take the whole car. ONLY KIDDING I grew up dirt track racing in the north east US. TURN RIGHT GO LEFT. Winged sprints and Modifieds
Go for the purple. I have the same mobo (X58 SLI LE) laying around and I plan on putting it in the 800D after I do the MM build. I had planned on purple coolant, white tubing, and black and purple MDPC-X sleeve.
Dirt track racing? Ever get down to bridgeport? When the wind is blowing right I can hear the races every Saturday night.
YEEHAY!! mud slingers! great fun, there big down here, all the yanks come down regularly to race. Dumesny et al
The track in syd is right next to the freeway, u can hear them as u drive past :D
i like the purple, goes well with black :)
No, I was just wondering because miscolored o-rings are just one of those things that push my buttons. Purple + Carbon = :D
CLOSETREDNECK Thanks I have the purple sleeve with black but ha vent started as of yet. If you don't have a dark back drop for the purple it looks pinkish.
Hey I discovered something today I wanted a little more room in the bottom compartment of my 800D so I purchased a Lian Li power supply extender. It slides the power supply out the back about 2 1/2 inches.
MY XSPC360 rad is just shy of 16" and the left over power supply about 8" TOTOL 24" with the extender the space adds up to 25 1/2 inches. We could put a triple in the bottom bay. It looks like if you slide the rad all the way to the front and put fans on back pulling it will give the 24 pin enough room. Just thought i would share the info. you have to cut off the left over power supply rails.
Creekin Back in the day a good friend and driver Kenny Brightbill would come down under to race. He had a lot of fans in your country.
PS I use to spend every saturday night at Bridgeport speedway
yeah i was going to get one of those psu extenders for my rig, but decided i didnt need the room,
lately ive been thinking of moving my psu external, might re-visit the extender idea, thanks for the reminder :)
that name rings a bell...i grew up in production car racing, what was then called group A which has now grown into our current V8 supercars.
as a kid i wandered the pits with Australian legends like Peter Brock and Alan Moffat. :D
*Memories, like the corners of my mind....*
Creekin I should have the extender mounted by the weekend and some other updates soon.
Power supply extender installed and cut off the extra rail. I could turn a tractor trailer around ib there:) Like I said earlier you can fit a 360 in the bottom. Its tight but it will fit.
