let me quote somebody:

$100 gets you WaterBlock, Radiator, Tubing and 120mm fan, and it will outperform the best air cooled heatsink equipped with the same fan.Quote:

quote me about "ditching" ? you can't... because I never wrote that.Quote:
If you weren't so hung up on ditching heatpipes
attentive reading. heatpipe technology for air cooled CPU cooling has pretty much gotten as far as it will go; proof is that all the major HSF brands use it and none have succeeded in making any significant improvement for the last 18-24 months...
I think Corsair already proved allinone solutions can only go so far. I thought watercooling kits need a pump to get the water moving. My bad. You're making claims without any real proof, watch out it might become a habit.
Saying heatsinks can't handle more than 130W is a praise right?
I guess you can call a 30 euro Thermolab Baram plus a couple of 5 euro Scythe slipstreams expensive if you live in a paper tent but for the regular folks thats pretty cheap.
PS: Changing quotes to make a point or how low can one go. Sad.
indeed, there's no proof anywhere on the web that water cooling kits , especially those with custom picked parts, outperform aircooled heatsinks.Quote:

We were talking about similar noise levels and price. You can't be serious if you think I'll ever deny that a custom water cooling setup is worse than any heatsink. I'm talking about cheap allinone stuff hyped by marketing.
they did? :confused:
idk all i saw was way expensive and didnt really offer any benefits over existing solutions at all...
they failed because of the tech, not marketing or anything else i think...
they aimed for and promised cooling solutions that cooled better and more efficiently...
