Tinkering around with the positions of the res and pump. Settled on this rough placement.

Only issue here is that the pump wire is protruding out of the back of the pump and into the way of the intake fans. Might have to resolve to drilling a new exit for the wires to make clearance for the pump.

Drilled and re-tapped the swiftech rad to accept m4 screws instead of the stock m3.5. This would give me more freedom to use screws of my choice.

While i was tinkering around with the rad, i discovered that the apogee gt that i was planning to use for the build had a defective screw, and thus was not able to be tightened properly.

I did quite abit of research on HDDs and finally went with these. Why these you ask? Well, with these in raid, they just as fast as 1TB Blacks and a faster then a single velociraptor 600GB at a fraction of the cost. With a small hit in random access times with regards to the velociraptor.)

How do u get the LEDs to change colour?

I'm gonna take a guess here and say they are RGB LEDs which are in fact three LEDs in one mounting, and he's using PWM to adjust the ratio of each color.

Yeah they are rgb leds but are controlled with a preset microchipped module. The lights can be controlled via a mini remote control that comes with the module.

totally unlike the harsh red, acid green or deep blue of typical case lighting. It's really appealing to me. I want something like it.

Yup its amber. I think you can find amber led lighting relatively easy from places like perfomance-pcs and such. They come either as spotlights or led strips from what i have seen. HTH :)
