Fixed package uploaded, same link as in first post.
@ TRICHEESE, not sure where your issue is coming from :( Stalker, Crysis Warhead, Vantage and Unigine Heaven are all working here.
tried sli wasn't that :(
downloading the new ones now
GL. I've only added some device IDs so some cards get recognised properly in device manager. I don't think a naming tag issue would cause what you described.
YES it works now, thanks for the update :up:
EDIT: damn it stopped working again :(
...and why are you doing all that? What could be the possible gain?
There is a regular version 258.96 for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300 & 400 series.
Also, there is 259.09 version already out.
Are you blind? Read the first post :rolleyes: I know there are 259.09 as well, but not for Quadros.
Here's two screenshot to compare the image quality.
The first one is with default driver settings the second one with Quality selected.

I havent played UT04 in a while, but textures do appear nice an crisp.
Um, wow. Does the first one even have antialiasing enabled?
Ket, please PM me the password :)
I have a GTX260 216SP, is it properly supported? Even though it is mentioned elsewhere on page one, your first post excludes the 200 series and someone had issues with the 295.
when i get back home im going to try again, seeing as i couldn't find the right display last night because it has always defaulted to my physx card and windows is useless at setting display settings
Can these in any way positively affect GPUGrid performance? I game for only a few hours per month, greater image quality would be nice but if these are better at GPUGrid I'll give you +1000 interwebz :D
Please PM me the password :D
I don't know about that, although scores in benchmarks I ran did go up a healthy sum. GeForce 258.96 drivers had a GPU score in Vantage of 15180, Quadro 258.96 drivers have a GPU score of 15481 :up: Tests like Unigine heaven the score remained unchanged. You also have PM :D
please PM the password... thanks...
I am using the older Quadro 258.49 fixed by Guru3D on my GTX470 and it folds great.
Nice work Ket, please PM over the password :)
No, I'm not blind, I can clearly see the extent of your knowledge. ;)
Those are the same drivers with different default settings, so if you adjust them the same - they will work the same.
If you don't believe me, try for yourself.
You can always compare driver's core components and you'll see it's the same thing. Then compare them to 259.09 to see what I mean.
Good question Oj101, and the answer was already posted by Alien Grey.
The drivers are essentially the same, but have gone under more rigorous bug testing and are coded for the upmost performance and image quality. Thus, the drivers themselves are better quality than standard GeForce drivers, which have one or the other prioritised. Quadro drivers have to have the upmost quality given Quadro cards are only really used by CGI studios, so HAVE to be totally bug free.
I absolutely agree. It means that regular GeForce 258.96 are also of very good quality, as core components are the same to the last byte.
Anyway, keep modding, as I appreciate the effort of course. :up: I just thought you are making to much effort, when there are already newer drivers and they seem better, but it's just IMO.
what i can see from the pics is that
it activates AA ..... ?
how can i be an XS ?
should i donate 100 dollars or something
last time i did that to a Nigerian accountant and i didnt get my 2 million :(
I have no idea what it activates if you select quality but I know that the image quality is a lot better.
I've tried to do something similar a while a go to have better image quality with the standard Geforce drivers but I never had such good quality or I perhaps it's just me who doesn't know what to enable or disable.
Lol, what is the key of "passworded" stuff?
People c'mon, it's just INF added strings for deviceIDs, nothing more i guess. :)
It's not "modding" much here involved, and everyone can do that. Just take nv4_disp.inf and on example of 259.09 driver:
[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.5.1]
%NVIDIA_DEV.0040.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0040
%NVIDIA_DEV.0041.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0041
%NVIDIA_DEV.0042.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0042
%NVIDIA_DEV.0043.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0043
%NVIDIA_DEV.0044.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0044
%NVIDIA_DEV.0045.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0045
%NVIDIA_DEV.0046.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0046
%NVIDIA_DEV.0047.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0047
%NVIDIA_DEV.0048.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0048
and so on - these are strings of "supported" devices. Just add necessary VENID:DEVID here.
and in the end:
[Strings]
DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows XP (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_DEV.0040.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra"
NVIDIA_DEV.0041.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800"
NVIDIA_DEV.0042.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 LE"
NVIDIA_DEV.0043.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XE"
NVIDIA_DEV.0044.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT"
NVIDIA_DEV.0045.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT"
NVIDIA_DEV.0046.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT "
NVIDIA_DEV.0047.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS"
NVIDIA_DEV.0048.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT "
NVIDIA_DEV.004D.01 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400"
NVIDIA_DEV.004E.01 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX 4000"
NVIDIA_DEV.0090.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX"
NVIDIA_DEV.0091.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX "
NVIDIA_DEV.0092.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT"
NVIDIA_DEV.0093.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS"
NVIDIA_DEV.0095.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 SLI"
NVIDIA_DEV.009D.01 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500"
NVIDIA_DEV.00C0.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GS "
NVIDIA_DEV.00C1.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 "
and so on
strings for "names" of DEVIDs.
And that's all, AFAIK :)
And driver kernel don't enable any quadro-specific stuff on cards, coz GPU is still locked. So image quality will be same as "GeForce" drivers, thus they are both unified.
