Hey, here my best resoluts:
1.44V is not to much for benchmarks, go higher, if can
oldtimer: nice case and system. I have HAF 932 :-). Can u test max clock in LINX stability test (20 minutes will OK)
Nice results CoNtAcT.
This is about all it will do FLanK3r with this combination of settings anyway. This is about the fifth or sixth different LinX run without any cool down period so the entire system is completely warmed up. I didn’t change any settings except 20 minutes in the time window.
This is a screen capture of the test running just before it completed. I ran Asus probe and core temp for comparison. The max temp I saw in probe was 52C and the lowest was 44C beyond 10 minutes of the testing.

SS test completed, highest reading in core temp during the test was 45C

I ran a few more tests with the gaming rig today. I let the NB clocks ride as I clocked the HTT clock during the Super Pi testing. The Super PI- 1M SS is the last before it hard locked.

good stuff, you teach me more and more everyday.
That's a KILLER Wprime OT!
I think my best so far was ~6.1 secs...
Looks like your 1055 is a little better sample than mine (or your skills are better (more likely :D))...
A couple questions:
What IMC voltage are you running to hit 3.2Ghz?
Have you tried tweaking tRAS or does 24 seem to be the best setting?
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around these GT's. Thanks for steering me to that kit, you've been a HUGE help Bro! ;)
BTW: Welcome back equinox1!
I'm still jealous of your chiller rack. Don't make me look too bad... :p:
Thanks EQ, I think we all learn from eachother.:)
Thanks Dave, I think there is more left in wPrime both 32M and for sure 1024M.
LLC was enabled on the CPU/NB with voltage set to auto so I'm not sure where it was during the testing but 1.51-1.52v would be my guess.
The tRAS@24 has been a good starting point. Then after I find some of the other limits (core, IMC and thermal) for the bench test beng used then I see if I can tighten the ram timings. I just didn't get back to the ram in those tests before I ran out of time. Some times I start the testing with the ram @8-8-8-24 or 7-7-7-24, one less problem.
Yeah, the Corsair GT CL8 2000 kit does it's job very well. Problem is though MicroCenter raised the price back up to $230 before I got over there to get another set.:(
i think, or at my PC, CoreTemp show about -10C diferently than reality. Today i tested this :-) Set in windows +2busspeed so Coretemp reading BIOS setings (at 64-bit win7). To time its my record with 1.308V :-), of course, as always, with air cooler
Real temps are, thinking, 45 C in burn, not 35. Im still tweaking stability more than 4300 MHz, but im not lucky, 4300 its OK, but 4310MHz not! PC dont crash, not to warm, only error at same core :-/

Nice CPU clock @1.308V in prime95 FLanK3r.:) Where does your Thuban top out on LinX (core speed and temp)?
TOP was 4300MHz and Temps in Coretemp 46C (or about 56C in real), voltage was 1.478V. More from first testing days u can to find here
LINX etc testing
Improved some of the scores, I also tested a little using higher HTT @ higher processor clocks.
The system is still installed inside the closed Cooler Master 932 HAF case (CPU under ambient water cooling).

Improved the wPrime 1024 score a little

whau, good timings RAM with this clock !
Thanks FLanK3r.
I tested the 1055T a little bit in Windows XP today, wPrime that is.:)
Same as before everything installed inside the closed case using ambient water cooling on the CPU, air for everything else.:yepp:

Ok... I'm starting to get my head around this new mem OT.. ;)
I'm a stabliity, low voltage guy, but this kit is working for me pretty well....
Heres a SS with a 10 pass IBT (Max Mem usage).
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...x10MaxLinx.png
Not too shabby... :p:
I'll keep working on it!
Looks good Dave, you're getting the NB clocked up to. The 1055T will make us work a little harder for the clocks than the 1090T and that makes it fun for me.:D
How well does your water cooling system hold the 1055 under full load for 1/2 hour or so @ the above clocks?
CPU temp hit 57c @ that setting during the IBT run...
A little higher than I'm comfortable with, but it didn't fail.
The wierd thing was it ran IBT and all other benches I tested, but failed
on the 3rd pass of CB 11.5. I turned the HTref down to 303 and all seems well.... Cinebench is definetly a tough test. :p:
BTW: I fiddled with ram a little too, tRAS lower than 22 was a nogo on my kit (at least at these voltages).
nice wprimes oldtimer, almost identical to my max mhz on w7-64 though
wprime32
4477mhz
wprime1024
4370mhz
i did manage a 4400mhz cb11 run, couldnt get 1024 to pass
hm, it will hard time to win with my aircooling in wprime 1024 ,-) (its only joke)
Nice times, love wprime and Cinebench benchmarks as the best.
The system must be a little edgy at those settings at least for CB 11.5. CB can be tough on the system after repeated tests end to end.
Thanks, XP helped some although I must admit Windows 7 64-bit is fast becoming my favorite all around benching OS.
Thanks FLanK3r, yeah air cooling and wPrime 1024M aren't always the best of friends.
I needed the Corsair GT’s for some other testing so I swapped the ram out of the gaming rig which meant I needed to swap the 1055 out also for the 1090 (the old ram limits the HTT clocks).
Anyway while the 1055 was out I installed it in the old CH3F (790FX) then tested a little 2D under dice today. I did have some problems, I expect mostly from the very old beat-up Windows XP install I used. I tried testing the 1055 in the CH4F two weeks ago but that test was a disaster although the CH4F did clock the 1055 higher than the CH3F. I spent about four hours trying many bios setting combinations that the system would use without crashing and finally found a couple that were ok at best.
Funny thing is when I tested using chilled water the CH3F proved it could boot and load Windows at a much higher HTT (406x11) than the CH4F (374x10)?
Not very extreme but here are the best two of today’s lot.

Nice 1055T / dice workout oldtimer .
Thanks pcnazz, it was interesting to say the least but I think I got more of a workout than the 1055 did:rofl:
I still have quite a few chips but I have given many of them away (the ones that are still alive that is:D). Some times just the chip sometimes chip and MB as an upgrade for a family member, friend or neighbor.
I build a system using some old hardware every once in a while to remind me of just how much better the newer stuff really is.:)
