GeForce 400 series heatsinks: Any news? ETA?
Thanks for answering!
Just another few questions:
Thanks in advance!Quote:
- Does Swiftech also plan to sell Hydro Copper Waterblock for GTX 470 made by Swiftech and Hydro Copper Waterblock for GTX 480 made by Swiftech by their own Swiftech-Webstore or over distributors?
- What about a fullcover waterblock for GTX 470/480 like the "Komodo single GPU series"?
I think it would be interesting to see some sort of heat pipe design in future MCW blocks
bump, updates?
Sweet idea.
Is this going to be applied to future shipments of the ATi 5xxx sinks?
Also were there ever any made for the 4xxx cards? might hunt one down so I can liquid my current card instead of waiting to get the new one...
Finally, what material is it? Looks like a plastic of some kind, possibly delrin? EDIT: Looked on the site, extruded aluminium. Nice!
thanks for adding the mounting holes . innovation is a great thing.
any plans on trickling this down to future runs of older series sinks? altho i would probably imagine those wont be run again. but we can always hope.
Will there be heatsinks for the GTX460 as well??
I used a MCW80 and an heatsink on a GTX275 and the cooling performace was great.
So I was hopeing to use the MCW-80 with a heatsink on the GTX460 that I orderd.
Nice work Gabe, I will pick up this for my second GTX 470 in a few weeks time....
I like them. If you are going to include a fan as an option it would be nice if the fan could plug into the card's fan header and not the MB, just a thought.
The heatsinks have been released. We'll start shipping to dealers mid-week.
Also, we will also release them bundled with MCW80's sometimes next week.
You can call Michelle if you need one on a rush.
Awesome. Will that include a fan too Gabe?
gabe: can any of those heatsinks be used on 460? Imho such even cheaper cards would be prime candidate for using univeral gpu blocks ..
nope, fan remains optional. all our dealers have plenty of these to offer.
no, these are specific to the respective nvidia models listed above. we are considering making a HS for the 460'. we are definitely making a bracket to mount the MCW60's and 80's on the 460's.
are they available yet? any update on the eta?
