Hey Guys,
I'm the original author of the news story on NordicHardware about the GF104 using 256 CUDA cores. The English version of the news item is translated by Andreas Galistel and I just wanted to clarify some stuff.
Sorry Saaya, but I really can’t see how you miss interpret this sentence from our news article.Quote:
nordichardware claims 256, but they also mention that the blocks are 16 shaders, which is wrong... its 16 blocks of 32 shaders, not the other way around...
but maybe they got this wrong cause gf104 will have 16 shaders per block...
We clearly state that the GPU is built of 16 clusters and even though we don’t mention 32 shaders we mention the total shaders in the GPU and the rest is math.Quote:

About the information we got its coming from sources that have passed along information from Nvidia briefings with partners. Alas we haven’t seen any documentation, and even if it’s a reliable source it’s still not confirmed information.
I don’t know for a fact that the information from eNet is true or false. But neither the CUDA core math, nor the memory system seems to add up. And not to mention the pictures that are too small to make anything out of while the die just seem to be a squeezed GF100. :P
We'll continue digging and see what we can come up with, its seems 100% sure that GTX 490 is coming though. Probably posting something about this later today.

hey anton :)
idk if it was misquoted, but this is what onethreehill posted here on xs linking to NH

your right, i misread the shader core/cluster thing.
but the 470 specs are wrong :D
