What's up with the 0047 bios :p new 07 bios in the making ?
NO :) These are internal beta bioses, which will usually find their way to public in some point. 0047 is very good for everything!
2D vs 3D, Bloomfield vs GT ? elaborate a bit plz SF3D
I think I noticed a "pre-45nm BIOS" de-javu :D
Better SuperPi 1M efficiency with pre-Gulftown support BIOS ( easy to fix, just remove the Gulftown micro-codes from any BIOS version and you're set ;) )
cool, looks like fun guys! 3 people sounds nice n quiet, more people and it gets a bit messy in my experience :D
petri, just out of curiosity, why the hate and why the love for the 480?
hate = driver, love = hardware? :D
did you have problems with the memory getting too cold and not clocking well?
and how was the daughter board insulation wise? is it as much pain to insulate as it looks like or was it actually no problem at all?
i like the pictures :toast:
The memory/memory controller cold, memory overclock limit doesn't exist on the GTX's Sascha.
Most of the times you can also clock the mem's higher on LN2 compared to your max on air.
The hate could be about the cold slow bug ( under a specific temp, varies from -70C to -85C from card to card, the card slows down ( throttles and performs like a GeForce 2 MX :D ) ).
I don't think so, notice the word COULD :p:
Correct, you got the answer there already :p:
Thanks Sascha!
3 peoples is near perfect in this type of event. I agree on that.
The Xpander is actually more easy to insulate than any motherboard ever. There is no extra components and the cold will not spread to the motherboard. I like the solution very much. It is better to have separate board than a bit worse performance and hotter motherboard.
The hate goes to PCB and power design. It is not the best there is, but it can do the job anyway. Scaling is another thing which is not making me too happy. I am not able to bin cards, so high clocks are not so easy to achieve.
Yes, no cold issues with single card. -140C was the best operating temperature. Too bad that the cores were not the best around.
Hey!
Sorry that I waked up this ancient thread, but I finally got a chance to edit some video of it
So, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/user/SF3DOC
I made it quick, so it would not be so boring :D
P.S Remember to watch at 1080p if you like good quality.
Speed of bench :P Nice video :)
