Definitely fake and a publicity stunt. Yet nobody noticed the English fail in the email.

I do not think is that the stolen
lets all just spam the email they have posted with the ebay link and say we want to see a lawsuit or we will boycott xfx
Why is this news?
1. Gamertainment
An advertising campaign cleverly disguised within a classic gaming plot scenario. Advertising that entertains as if the viewer is in middle of an actual game."
...
http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/9...2020fixed1.gif XFX 5970 Gay Advertising Edition STOLEN.
I reported it to ebay as a fraudulent listing with no intent to sell.
Do the same.
At least Apple did it with some style.
Ha ha, just noticed it in trash (spam filter working).
Thief would have taken 2 (#69). Pro would have taken a pallet.
I heard they used the XFX 5970 BE Limited to assassinate the Polish president
Oops. No offense to the Polish members here. (There are assassinations of presidents in US too, Poland was just in the news recently so I say that.). Sorry for bad taste joke - I was just adding to the marketed mystique surrounding the "XFX 5970 BE" that has been stolen.
Just that this whole XFX Black Edition thing is such a crockpot of rumor and conspiracy, and it's ironic to link it to something else with a lot of drama about it.
Like I said, I hope no one takes any offense, I have a few Polish friends myself and know first hand how sad the situation is for them.
But, they say you either laugh or cry, and I've always felt that laughter is the best option.
This is what I was getting out of it, nothing more.
It's not mocking the Polish President, rather mocking the hype of this stupid marketing campaign.
The fact that this made the Newsreel on most Tech forums means we are already too late and that this silly campaign is actually working. Now that's irony...
...You got me good XFX "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... "
XFX=sleezebags, like anyone is surprised they would pull this.
Yeah, it would appear to be part of the campaign, as if you see the author of the films:

Read the comments section, where he reveals what his gamertag is:

"You have no idea what I went through to get this card"
Hmmm ... anyone see the connection
I'm starting to love this marketing campagn :D
When i got the email, i thought they were telling me my 5870's i have registered with them were stolen
Really really bad taste honestly. The timing is the biggest problem and even without that, its bad taste. The polish president died a week and a half ago. Compared to American presidents that have died half a century ago.
If Obama died yesterday and you made the same joke, you would get a crap storm that might get you banned.
